Portronics SoundDrum POR-1579 20W Portable Speaker Price Comparison & History in India
Buy Now: This Bluetooth Speaker Is At Its Recent Low
At ₹2,099 on Flipkart, this speaker is at its recent three-month low. It’s also about 4% above its tracked average of ₹2,013. Across 387 days, prices rose and fell between ₹1,879 and the highest recorded point. Its all-time low was ₹1,879 on Amazon. The gap to the best price is modest. The latest Amazon listing also held at the same current level. The platform has changed from Amazon to Flipkart, so check seller warranty before ordering.
One thing casual shoppers may miss: the recent-low comparison uses limited checks. Only one recorded price appears after mid-July, making the signal less strong. Still, the Portronics SoundDrum P 20 Watt Bluetooth Speaker hasn’t climbed since June’s peak. That peak was the highest recorded point, while the current level sits below it. The Portronics SoundDrum P 20 Watt Bluetooth Speaker remains a straightforward budget pick. Its pricing isn’t at the absolute best, but it’s close enough for most buyers. If you need a compact speaker soon, the current Flipkart offer is sensible. The SoundDrum P is also worth watching during upcoming sale events.

Portronics SoundDrum POR-1579 20W Portable Speaker Features & Overview
Usage
SoundDrum P by Portronics is a compact 20 Watts Bluetooth speaker designed for table-top use or outdoor listening. Its blue finish keeps fingerprints visible but looks clean on a shelf. Portronics SoundDrum POR-1579 20W Portable Speaker AI-evaluated performance for real-world value. The device sits solidly on a table and the 7 inch driver pushes clear mids without overwhelming bass. You’ll notice the tactile power button with a soft click and the convenience of on-device controls as you juggle a phone and a mug of coffee.
Capacity
The built-in battery delivers about 7 hours of playback on a single charge, powered by a 4000 mAh capacity. When you’re in a party mood, the USB port and AUX-In give you flexible playback options, so you don’t have to chase a charging cable mid-song.
Controls
Controls lean toward touch, with a physical button present for key tasks. The top surface responds with a satisfying light resistance and quick action you notice in daily use; you don’t think about it until it saves you fumbling with a cord.
Durability
Designed for outdoors and table-top placement, the Blue chassis and waterproof build tolerate a rain shower or splash. The 7 inch speaker and an additional 5 inch subwoofer diameter give you a present sound in compact quarters; it’s not a boom box, but it handles outdoor vibes nicely.
Safety
With Bluetooth wireless operation and limited exposed wiring, everyday safety is straightforward. The device is built to stay cool and function reliably through regular use.
Installation and Warranty
Setup is simply placing the SoundDrum P on a table; it ships with a charging cable and user manual. Portronics backs it with a manufacturer warranty for one year.
Portronics SoundDrum POR-1579 20W Portable Speaker Technical Specifications
Portronics SoundDrum POR-1579 20W Portable Speaker FAQs
SoundDrum P gets properly loud for a small room and keeps vocals clear. Bass is good for casual music, but it isn't the deep, punchy type. At full volume, the sound loses some balance.
The 20W stereo output has enough presence for a patio or small gathering. Bass sounds enjoyable at medium volume, especially with regular Bollywood and pop tracks. It won't give you the heavy bass of a larger party speaker.
You get around seven hours with casual volume during regular playback. Higher volume can bring that down to roughly three or four hours. Medium volume sits closer to about five hours.
Charging takes around seven hours, which is quite long for a speaker that plays for about seven hours. You need to plan the charge before taking it outdoors. This is one of the weaker parts of the setup.
At 740 grams, SoundDrum P is easy to move between rooms or take outside. Its small body doesn't take much space on a desk or table. There is no carry strap, so you carry it by hand.
The chassis is described as waterproof and built for spray during outdoor use. That makes it more suitable for patios and casual outdoor sessions. Still, it isn't meant to be treated like a speaker for underwater use.
Pairing is quick with phones, laptops, tablets, and TV set-top boxes. Bluetooth works within the listed 10-metre range in open space. The AUX and USB ports also help when wireless pairing isn't convenient.
Bluetooth can stutter when a wall or even a person comes between the phone and speaker. It works better with the phone kept nearby and in open view. This connection issue is the main weak point reported with the speaker.
The box includes the speaker, charging cable, and user manual. An AUX cable isn't included, even though the speaker has an AUX input. You need to arrange your own cable for wired listening.
SoundDrum P is aimed at louder room playback with 20W stereo output. It also gives you AUX and USB connections, not just Bluetooth. JBL Go 3 makes more sense when you want a smaller personal speaker.
SoundDrum P gives you a small-room and patio speaker with stereo output and around seven hours of playback. Its 740-gram body is still easy to carry around. Choose it when wired inputs matter along with Bluetooth.
SoundDrum P keeps things simple with 20W stereo sound, Bluetooth, AUX, and USB. It suits buyers who want loud everyday playback without extra controls or lighting. Sony models are the better direction when brand refinement matters more than basic value.
Yes, it can fill a room around 120 square feet with sufficient sound. Vocals and instruments stay clear at normal listening levels. Push the volume all the way up and the bass becomes less punchy.
Handsfree calling is listed as part of the speaker's setup. Calls can be taken without picking up the phone each time. There isn't much extra call control beyond that basic use.
The speaker has a USB port listed under wired inputs. The available data doesn't clearly confirm whether it plays music directly from a USB drive. AUX is the safer wired option when you want a confirmed connection.

Overall Good Purchase under 2k
Liked it's compact size, which makes it easy to carry around. Sound is pretty decent. I connected it with my Phone, Laptop, Tab, TV's STB easily, although I wish they would have added an AUX Cable.

Good sound quality, but Bluetooth connectivity is poor.

Main is speaker ko lagbhag 1 mahine se use kar raha hoon. Mujhe ye ₹1899 mein mila tha. Sound quality aur bass price ke hisaab se achha hai. Full volume par battery lagbhag 3–4 ghante chalti hai, aur medium volume par around 5 ghante. Lekin mere unit mein Bluetooth connectivity bahut hi bekar hai. Phone aur speaker ke beech sirf ek wall ya koi person hone par bhi song kabhi-kabhi atakne lagta hai. Shayad ye problem sirf mere unit mein ho, isliye 1 mahine use karne ke baad apna genuine experience share kar raha hoon. Overall sound achha hai, lekin Bluetooth connectivity improve honi chahiye.

Well. Let's talk about this cutie pie. I ordered this product. It's approx 5.5 inch high and in 4.5 inch dia. But even at this size this is beyond expectations. If you are using this in a room of approx 120 square feet this will give you fine and sufficient sound. Since this is 2.1 channel audio device you have to adjust sound by your TV or whichever device you are using. A decent power backup and super bluetooth connectivity makes it a gem. It may not sound very good at full volume but this is the issue with all speakers. So if you are planning a bluetooth speaker with a power backup this may the best one. I am using it since 4 months.
