Lava Bold 2 5G Teased Ahead of India Launch on Amazon Exclusive

Overview

India’s Lava International has teased the Lava Bold 2 5G, the successor to the Lava Bold 5G, with a view to launching in the country. The company has confirmed that the new handset will go on sale in India and will be sold exclusively online through Amazon, supported by a dedicated microsite that carries the tagline “Brighter, Slimmer, Bolder.” The teaser imagery points to a design emphasis on a slim profile and a flat chassis, with a dual rear camera unit and an LED flash visible on the back. At this stage, Lava has not disclosed a firm launch date or the full specification sheet, but it has signaled that more details will be revealed in the days ahead.

The development aligns with Lava’s ongoing product cadence, with the Bold 2 5G positioned as the successor to the Bold 5G, which Lava launched in India in April last year. The teaser narrative suggests a continued focus on a lightweight design and practical, everyday features tailored to online shoppers. The microsite’s presence on Amazon and the specific branding line indicate a push toward a digitally driven rollout rather than broad in-store promotions for the initial phase.

Next Steps

The Lava Bold 2 5G is described as the successor to Lava Bold 5G, and Lava has confirmed the model will be launched in India soon. The tagline on the microsite—“Brighter, Slimmer, Bolder”—appears to set the tone for the device’s design and positioning. Details such as the official launch date, precise specifications, pricing, and color options for the Bold 2 5G have not yet been released, and officials indicated that additional information would be shared in the coming days.

For context, Lava Bold 5G, the predecessor, was introduced in India in April 2025 at a starting price of Rs 10,499 for the base 4GB + 128GB variant. It was offered in Sapphire Blue and carried a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The Bold 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and ships with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. A 64-megapixel AI-backed primary camera is paired with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and the device carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The battery is 5,000mAh with 33W wired fast charging.
