Redmi confirms the Redmi Turbo 5 series will launch in China this week. The lineup includes Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The event is scheduled for January 29 at 7 pm China time, 4:30 pm IST. Redmi will also unveil the Redmi Buds 8 Pro and Redmi Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition at the event. No international launch plans are confirmed.

There is speculation that the Redmi Turbo 5 could launch outside China as the POCO X8 Pro, and the Redmi Turbo 5 Max as the POCO X8 Pro Max, though no confirmation is provided.

Hardware highlights

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is the highlight with a 9,000mAh battery. It will support 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging, and Redmi says the battery should offer at least two days of juice.
