Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G reveal AI upgrades that change mid-range phones

Samsung expands Galaxy A lineup

Samsung Launches Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, adding two new Galaxy A series devices with enriched Awesome Intelligence, upgraded camera hardware, stronger performance and long-term software support. The phones are set to go on sale from 25 March, with the Galaxy A57 5G positioned as the more advanced model in the range. Samsung said the new devices are built to bring its latest mobile innovations to more users worldwide.

TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President and Head of Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics, said the new Galaxy A series reflects the company’s commitment to AI democratization. He said the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G combine Samsung’s core capabilities with enriched Awesome Intelligence to deliver everyday performance and drive rapid AI expansion. The phones run on One UI 8.5 and include features designed around search, editing, productivity and device controls.

Among the software features highlighted is Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app, which can transcribe and translate call recordings or turn voicemail audio into text. AI Select is available through a long press on the Edge Panel and can surface actions on screen for extracting text or creating content. It also supports Drag and Drop in Multi-Window mode, letting users move images into Samsung Notes or Photo Editor.

Samsung also pointed to photo and video editing tools built into Awesome Intelligence. Object Eraser is said to produce more natural results when removing unwanted items from images. On the Galaxy A57 5G, Best Face supports more photos and continuous shooting, while Auto Trim is included for video editing. Filters and Edit Suggestions are also available. Circle to Search with Google now includes multi-object recognition for searching several items in an image at once.

Camera, battery and durability details

The two phones use a triple-camera system led by a 50MP main sensor. Samsung said the devices deliver brighter and clearer visuals with upgraded camera hardware and an improved Image Signal Processor. Nightography is included for low-light photos and videos. The Galaxy A57 5G adds enhanced image processing, HDR video and a faster shutter speed.

Samsung said the Galaxy A57 5G battery can last up to two days and supports Super Fast Charging 2.0 to reach up to 60% in around 30 minutes. The phone also has a 13% larger vapor chamber for extended gaming or recording. Both phones are rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. The devices also feature slimmer bezels and a bright display with Vision Booster.

On security and support, Samsung said the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G offer up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with up to six years of security updates. Knox Vault is included as a hardware-based, tamper-resistant security layer. Samsung also listed Security & Privacy Dashboard, Auto Blocker, Private Sharing, Theft Protection, Private Album and Privacy Alerts among the security and privacy tools on the phones.

Launch colours and Malaysia pricing

The phones will be available in Malaysia from 25 March. The Galaxy A57 5G comes in Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray and Awesome Icyblue. The Galaxy A37 5G comes in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal and Awesome Graygreen.

Samsung gave the following launch pricing in Malaysia:

• Galaxy A57 5G 12+512GB: RM2,699, launch rebate RM300, price after rebate RM2,399
• Galaxy A57 5G 12+256GB: RM2,399, launch rebate RM150, price after rebate RM2,249
• Galaxy A37 5G 12+256GB: RM1,999, launch rebate RM100, price after rebate RM1,899
• Galaxy A37 5G 8+256GB: RM1,899, price after rebate RM1,799

The launch rebate promotion runs from 25 March 2026 to 31 December 2026. The bank and Shopee PayLater rebate runs from 25 March 2026 to 29 April 2026. Samsung said the phones can be purchased through the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, authorised retailers and participating e-commerce platforms.
