Vivo X500 Pro Max Leak Points to 2K Display and 8000mAh Battery

Vivo X500 Pro Max leaks are pointing to a higher-resolution display and a much larger battery than the current X300 Pro. The reported hardware mix also suggests Vivo may be aiming squarely at the 2026 ultra-premium Android segment.

The phone is said to be in testing with a 6.85-inch flat BOE LIPO panel, which would place it above the X300 Pro in both sharpness and endurance if the reports hold up. A battery starting with “8” would also put Vivo in a tougher contest with large-cell flagships from OPPO and other premium Android rivals.

Vivo X500 Pro Max May Also Run MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro

One of the more notable parts of the leak is the mention of the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro. The chipset is still unannounced, so the detail is less about confirmed performance and more about the direction Vivo may be taking with this device.

According to the leak, the X500 Pro Max could combine that next-generation chip with a 2K-class BOE display and an 8,000mAh-class battery. If that lineup proves accurate, the phone would not look like a routine update. It would be aimed more directly at the top end of the Android market, where battery capacity, display quality, and chipset efficiency all matter at the same time.

That also makes the timing of the leak interesting. A rumored 2nm MediaTek part is still early in the story, but it signals that Vivo may be preparing a more aggressive flagship package than the X300 Pro. In most cases, leaks at this stage are best treated as early hardware testing rather than final retail specs, but they still give a useful sense of where a manufacturer is heading.

For now, the main claims around the Vivo X500 Pro Max are straightforward:

  • 6.85-inch flat BOE LIPO panel
  • 2K display resolution
  • 8,000mAh-class battery
  • MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro mention

The display and battery details are the biggest takeaways. A 2K panel would be a clear step up in sharpness, while an 8,000mAh-class battery would push the phone into a category that is still not common among premium Android flagships. That kind of battery size usually changes how a device is positioned, especially if the phone is also meant to stay thin, balanced, and premium in hand.

The comparison with the Vivo X300 Pro matters too. Based on the leak, the X500 Pro Max appears to be moving beyond it on both resolution and endurance. That does not automatically mean the phone will launch with every rumored feature intact, but it does suggest Vivo is testing a more ambitious formula than a simple spec bump.

There is still plenty missing. The leak does not confirm final camera hardware, charging speed, storage options, or design changes beyond the flat panel mention. It also does not say whether the device will launch globally or remain focused on select markets. Those details usually come later, once a product gets closer to release.

Even so, the core message is clear enough. If the Vivo X500 Pro Max ends up with a 2K BOE display and an 8,000mAh-class battery, it could become one of Vivo’s most aggressive premium Android flagships to date. And if the Dimensity 9600 Pro part also happens, the phone may be positioned for the 2026 ultra-premium tier from day one.
