Boat Rockerz Plus 550 ANC Headphone Price Comparison & History in India
Buy Only If You Need It Now
At ₹2,899 on Amazon, this is slightly above its usual buying range. Boat Rockerz Plus 550 ANC has averaged about ₹2,770 across 275 tracked days. That's only slightly higher, so the current deal isn't far off. It has reached a much lower ₹1,799 before, also on Amazon. That gap matters if you're shopping without urgency.
Prices moved sharply during the tracking period. Boat Rockerz Plus 550 ANC fell, rose, and settled at today's level. The latest Amazon listing is still the cheapest platform available right now. One thing casual shoppers may miss is the timing of the lowest prices. The best drops appeared during short sale windows, rather than through steady reductions. So, today's price looks reasonable, but it isn't a standout bargain.
The 40dB hybrid ANC is the main reason to consider this model. It should suit commuters, office users, and casual travellers wanting less background noise. Boat Rockerz Plus 550 ANC also keeps the buying decision simple at this price. However, the history gives patient shoppers a clear advantage. Prices have repeatedly moved lower after rising periods. If you don't need headphones immediately, waiting for another sale makes sense. A major shopping event could bring a better entry point.
- Auto pairing saves setup time
- Push buttons are easy to use
- Voice assistant works from headphones
- AUX keeps wired listening available
- Mic quality drops on calls
- Plastic hinges feel fragile
- Ear cushion covering peels with age
- Charging port feels loose
Boat Rockerz Plus 550 ANC Headphone Features & Overview
Usage and Comfort
These headphones are designed for focused listening in everyday environments. Boat Rockerz Plus 550 ANC Headphone excels in long listening with strong battery life. The 40dB Hybrid ANC quiets surrounding noise so you can hear the details in your music or calls without turning the volume up. You’ll notice the difference when you pop them on during a commute or a noisy cafe, and the experience stays calmer even if the weather outside is loud and unsettled—you don’t think about it until it rains and the world seems a bit louder than before.
Battery and Playback
On a single charge you can enjoy long sessions thanks to Up to 80 Hours of Playback. The package includes one 12V battery, and the device ships with the components you need to get started: Cable, Headphones, User Manual. If you forget to recharge, you’ll still have a reassuring buffer for back-to-back listening or calls, and the warmth of the ear cushions remains a constant companion.
Controls and Connectivity
Connectivity is flexible with Bluetooth v5.4 and AUX compatibility, so you can pair with most devices without hunting for adapters. The controls sit under the fingertips with a distinct, tactile resistance and a soft click, and you can manage volume, calls, and playback without pulling your phone out. Voice assistants are supported for hands-free tasks, making the flow feel almost effortless as you juggle work and music.
Durability and Safety
The build is designed for daily use with a 350 g weight that balances feel and stability. The compact footprint—17 x 9 x 20 cm—keeps them portable for travel or commuting. They’re designed as a straightforward listening companion rather than a rugged outdoor device, so you’ll probably treat them as a well-used pair rather than a tired bench ornament.
Installation and Warranty
There is no assembly required; you simply connect and listen. Details about warranty aren’t provided in the data, so please refer to the retailer’s terms for coverage and duration. The included User Manual should cover any setup questions and basic care guidance to keep the finish looking presentable over time.

Boat Rockerz Plus 550 ANC Headphone FAQs
The 50mm drivers give music a bass-heavy sound that works well for casual listening. Hybrid ANC cuts steady fan, AC, and road noise during daily use. Vocals stay clear enough for movies, but this is more fun-sounding than perfectly balanced.
Battery life is one of the strongest points here. You get up to 80 hours of playback, which can cover several workdays or long weekend listening. Charging happens through USB Type-C, so the cable is easy to replace.
The soft over-ear cushions feel comfortable for several hours at a stretch. Some people notice ear heat after wearing them continuously, especially indoors. At 350 grams, they feel heavier than smaller wireless headphones.
Rockerz Plus 550 has a large, noticeable shape on the head. It works better at a desk or inside a room than during walks and gym sessions. The plastic body also needs careful handling around the hinges.
Sony WH-CH520 is lighter and easier to carry around. Rockerz Plus 550 gives you over-ear cushions, ANC, and much longer battery life. Pick the Sony for lighter daily carry, and these for longer listening indoors.
Both are over-ear ANC headphones meant for regular travel and music. Rockerz Plus 550 stands out with its advertised 80-hour battery and bass-focused sound. JBL makes more sense if you prefer a lighter-looking travel headphone with a more established companion app setup.
Nord Buds are much smaller and easier to carry in a pocket. Rockerz Plus 550 gives better ear coverage, longer playback, and a more immersive movie-watching fit. Choose the OnePlus pair for portability, not for over-ear comfort or battery size.
The ANC helps with steady metro rumble, bus noise, and nearby fan sound. It won't remove every voice or sudden horn around you. For regular commutes, it makes the background noticeably easier to ignore.
BEAST Mode cuts the stated response time to 40 ms, so casual mobile gaming feels quicker. Wireless gaming still isn't the safest choice for competitive matches because latency can become noticeable. AUX mode is the better pick when sound timing matters.
The microphone handles basic indoor calls without much trouble. Outdoor traffic and busy surroundings make the voice sound weaker and less clear. These work better for short calls than for long conversations in noisy places.
Sound leakage is noticeable around medium volume, especially in quiet rooms. Someone sitting nearby can hear parts of your music or video. Keep the volume lower in libraries, offices, and shared bedrooms.
Bluetooth pairing with a laptop and phone is quick. The headphones can remember both devices, but they only play sound from one at a time. You may need to pause or mute one device before switching to the other.
The physical buttons are simple to find and press without checking your phone. Play, pause, track, volume, and call controls are covered. They suit people who don't enjoy fiddly touch controls.
A few units can produce an occasional squeak from the hinges or plastic movement. It becomes more noticeable while adjusting the headband or moving the earcups. The noise is distracting when it appears during quiet listening.
The charging port can feel loose on some units after regular use. The cable may need to sit at a particular angle before charging starts. Check the charging indicator before leaving the headphones plugged in.
They work well for movies because the over-ear fit gives sound a fuller feel. The long battery life also handles repeated evening sessions without frequent charging. Heat around the ears can become the main issue after several hours.

The Brutally honest review you needed
Review: boAt Rockerz 550 - My Honest Take I’ve been using the boAt Rockerz 550 for a couple of days, and here’s the real deal. First off, these headphones sometimes make random squeaky noises (like your ex for no reason 🤔). Build quality is somewhere in the middle - not too bad, not too good. The ear muffs are leather (I assume), and the headband is padded with leather too. Feels comfortable when you’re distracted (like stalking someone’s profile 👀), but when you’re not, the heat kicks in. Honestly, even my ex’s arguments didn’t heat my ears this much. The body is mostly plastic aside from the muffs. It adjusts fine, but the plastic feels like it could snap if you treat it the way your ex treated you. First time holding it, you might think it’s a bit fragile - and if you’re not used to headphones, it can feel heavy on the ears. Now for the sound. For music, it’s okayish - bass is there, casual listening works fine. But gaming? Wireless is a big nope. I used it to play Valorant - yes, that rage inducing game - and honestly, I couldn’t rely on it. With aux, it gets a bit better, but still not ideal for competitive gaming. If you want a cheap wired option, I’d even recommend something like the Fingers Sound Boomerang (₹300, gold version, still kicking). ⚠️ Also, public service announcement: this ain’t for watching "private stuff." Yes, you know what I mean. These headphones leak sound like crazy - even at mid volume, people around you will hear every "un-proper sound" . You could actually use it as a mini speaker, but don’t risk it at home with parents in the next room. Lastly, about boAt’s customer service - people say it’s bad, but in my case, they replaced my Airdopes Alpha in just 2-4 days. So not half bad from my experience. Overall verdict: The boAt Rockerz 550 is decent for music and casual use, but gets hot, feels plasticky, leaks sound, and isn’t great for gaming. Not the worst, not the best - just middle ground that leaking part yes it's real fact checked by your bro 👍
Value for price and Durable...
These headphones are working fine after 1 and a half year of rough use. I used to throw them in my bag and carry everywhere. Rest of the day, they'd be lying in some corner of my room. The bass and volume is great. Battery still lasts after 12-15 hours of continuous use (at 60ish volume). I find them comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The mic doesn't work that good though.
Excellent Sound Quality and Power
The boAt Rockerz 550 Plus has good sound quality for the price. The bass is strong, and the headphones are comfortable for long listening sessions. Battery life is also impressive. The build quality feels decent, although the headphones are slightly bulky. Overall, a good choice for music, movies, and daily use.
Its not for Calls. Money wasted. No returns.
Audio is okay but others cant hear you on call. So for calls its does not work.
Not recommended for reliable, stable connection, noise when music starts/stops
Poor Bluetooth connection, Drops randomly for a moment even when I am sitting in front of the PC. Irritating tick noise when music starts/stops with Android/MacOS/Linux, The noise disappear when using the aux cable but the cable is not of sufficient length. Poor bluetooth implementation. Average sound quality. Decent build quality. Bad bt range. The most annoying problem is an audible clicking/ticking sound whenever audio starts or stops. This happens across different applications and websites, not just in one particular program. Starting or stopping music in YouTube Music produces a click, and I also hear the same ticking while playing Minecraft when there isn't another continuous audio stream playing. Interestingly, if another audio stream remains active continuously, the clicking disappears. I'm using Fedora Linux with PipeWire/WirePlumber on an Apple M1 Pro MacBook. I initially wondered whether this was a Linux or laptop-specific problem, but my Realme Bluetooth neckband works normally on exactly the same system. There is also a stereo-balance problem. I need to keep the left/right balance adjusted because I hear less from my left ear. The balance can be configured correctly, but after reconnecting the headphones the adjustment isn't properly applied until I change the volume. Changing the volume then causes the previously configured balance to take effect. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I previously owned a boAt Rockerz 440 and experienced a very similar balance-reset problem with that headphone on the same laptop. So this doesn't seem to be an isolated issue with this particular unit. I also tried the SBC-XQ Bluetooth codec offered by the Rockerz Plus 550. Linux was able to select it, but the headphones produced no audible audio, so it wasn't a practical workaround. The headphones themselves may sound fine for the price, but Bluetooth compatibility and basic audio-state handling are important parts of the product. I don't think users should have to modify PipeWire/WirePlumber configuration just to avoid clicks when starting audio or to get a previously configured stereo balance to take effect. It's especially surprising coming from an audio-focused company. My experience with two different boAt headphones has made me hesitant to buy another one for use with Linux. I'm returning the Rockerz Plus 550 and will look for a better-quality Bluetooth headset with more reliable Bluetooth/A2DP implementation.
Good purchase
The sound quality is good and comfortable but if you wear it for too long your ear will start hurting. Put something soft like cotton if you wanna avoid that
Quality of sound
The overall product is good I suggested five star because of the bass quality in it 🔥🔥🔥and the sound quality is very good bluetooth and aux quality is very good worth for the price
Not good
Not good
Very good
Very good headphones, I wasn’t expecting it initially. Comfort: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the most comfortable headphones out there, goes over ear and cushioning is very soft Sound quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very good sound quality, bass could’ve been a little better but overall still good for daily usage Color & design: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very vibrant and bright colors Overall: Overall it’s a really good budget headphones with good sound quality and amazing comfort
Great headphones but volume control stopped working
These are great headphones, fit comfortably, 50mm drivers for a great sound. The problem is, I only use them occasionally and the headphone volume control no longer works, which means I have to keep my phone close to adjust the volume. This defeats the object of Bluetooth connectivity and control.
