Indian consumer electronics brand boAt has forayed into the home entertainment market with smart projectors. The company has introduced two models, named boAt CineHead M1 and boAt CineHead E1, in the country. Both are positioned as budget options and are available for sale across the country. The CineHead M1 is the more premium model, with higher brightness, better resolution and stronger speakers.

The CineHead E1 is the entry model in the lineup. It comes with an Android 13-based smart UI and supports Netflix, Prime Video and other streaming apps. The projector also includes a built-in app store for sideloading apps. boAt says the device can project up to a 150-inch screen with native 720p resolution and support for 1080p playback. It is rated at 150 ANSI lumens and is aimed at dark environments or small, light-controlled living rooms.

The E1 does not include auto focus. It can, however, be adjusted electronically with vertical keystone correction. The projector comes with a rotatable, adjustable stand. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, HDMI, Bluetooth v5.0, USB and Aux. Audio is handled by a 3W built-in speaker.
