Honor Play11 Plus and Honor Play10 Debut With Massive 7,000mAh Batteries

Honor Play11 Plus and Honor Play10 Debut With Massive 7,000mAh Batteries

Honor has launched two new Play series phones in China, and the focus is clearly battery life first. The Play11 Plus and Play10 both come with 7,000mAh batteries, but the higher-end model adds a stronger chipset, a better display, Android 16, and more complete feature set.

Honor Play11 Plus Adds 45W Charging, 50MP Camera and IP66

The Honor Play11 Plus is the more capable of the two models. It uses the Dimensity 6500 Elite chip and pairs it with a 1.5K AMOLED panel, which gives it a more premium setup than the cheaper phone in the series. Honor has also included MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, so it launches with the newer software package out of the box.

On the camera side, the Play11 Plus carries a 50MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera. It also includes a single-click AI button, which adds a quick-access hardware control to the design. For charging, the phone supports 45W wired charging, which matters here because the battery is unusually large at 7,000mAh.

Honor has also fitted the Play11 Plus with IP66 protection, NFC, infrared, Bluetooth 6.0 and an in-display fingerprint reader. Taken together, those features make it the more complete mid-range 5G option in the China lineup. The phone is clearly built for users who want long battery life, but without giving up too much on specs.

Honor Play10 Starts Cheaper With Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and IP65

The Honor Play10 follows the same basic idea, but trims the spec sheet to hit a lower price. It runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and uses a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD instead of the AMOLED panel found on the Play11 Plus. It also comes with Android 15 rather than Android 16, which is one of the clearest differences between the two phones.

For cameras, the Play10 keeps things simpler with a 5MP front camera. It also carries IP65 protection, so it still offers some dust and water resistance, just not as much as the IP66-rated Play11 Plus. The battery remains a headline feature, though, with Honor still using a 7,000mAh cell on this model as well.

Pricing is where the Play10 makes the most sense for budget-focused buyers. It starts at CNY 1,399, which puts it below the Play11 Plus and places it in the lower mid-range segment. That makes it a more affordable 5G phone for people who care most about endurance and a large battery, even if the rest of the hardware is more basic.

In practical terms, the two phones split the same formula in different ways. The Play11 Plus is the stronger all-rounder, with faster charging, a better display, newer software and a more capable camera setup. The Play10, on the other hand, keeps the same battery size and 5G support while cutting back on display quality, camera hardware and protection level to reach a lower price point.

For buyers in China, the choice comes down to how much they want beyond battery life. Honor is offering two versions of the same endurance-first idea, but only one of them is positioned as the fuller-featured device. The other is the simpler, cheaper route.
