iQOO on Wednesday launched the 15 Ultra in China as the second model in its flagship lineup. The handset will go on sale in the country via the Vivo China online store in two colourways.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's flagship octa‑core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. The 15 Ultra carries a large 7,400mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, with 55W PPS support. A 50MP telephoto, 50MP main, and 50MP ultra‑wide triple rear camera setup is listed, along with a 32MP selfie camera. This device shares many core specifications with the vanilla iQOO 15 but is distinguished by cooling and the Ultra branding.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 5,699 for the base 16GB RAM / 256GB storage model. The 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB variants are priced at CNY 5,999 and CNY 6,999 respectively, with a top model at CNY 7,699 for 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. Availability is described for the local market through the Vivo China online store.

The Ultra marks the first iQOO phone to include an active cooling fan, and officials involved said the feature justifies the Ultra branding. The cooling system, called Ice Dome, uses a 17x17mm fan that moves 0.315 cfm. The chipset is paired with 10,667Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. A Q3 gaming chip handles resolution upscaling and frame generation, reinforcing the device's gaming focus.
