OnePlus 15T Confirmed to Launch Soon as a Compact Flagship

The OnePlus 15T is reportedly on track to launch soon as a compact flagship. Early signals point to a China debut in March, with the device expected to reach markets outside China as the OnePlus 15s. The phone is positioned as a small-screen powerhouse, aimed at high-end performance in a pocket-friendly form.

Posts on Weibo indicate the 15T’s arrival, with Chinese New Year red envelopes cited as part of the signal. OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis is said to have described the 15T as a small-screen powerhouse offering industry-leading performance and battery life, and the posts speak of notable leaps in system smoothness, gaming performance, imaging capabilities, screen quality and charging experience.

If the reports are accurate, the device could debut in China as early as March. The dimensions of the smartphone will be compact and likely flat in shape, similar to the OnePlus 13T, with a slim chassis. The frame should be made of metal and follow the design cues seen on previous models by OnePlus.

The display will be 6.32 inches and possibly have a resolution of 1.5K. Additionally, it may have a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, aligning with typical high-end specs from OnePlus; however, current discussions are ongoing regarding the actual specifications for both the display and camera. For example, current options being considered for the camera are 200MP vs 50MP as the primary sensor versus what was previously released with the OnePlus 13T. A 50MP telephoto camera and a 32MP selfie shooter are among the components mentioned in early chatter.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor is believed to power the device; if that happens, it would certainly make the device a very powerful device within the Android ecosystem in 2026. In addition, it will receive a significant increase in battery capacity, with a new 7,500 mAh battery capable of supporting 100W wired charging as well as potentially being used as a wireless charger.

Market rollout considerations point to a India trajectory similar to the 13T, with the 15T possibly launching as the OnePlus 15s in India. There have been unsettled rumours about an India launch for the 15s, with some suggesting it may have been cancelled, but no official confirmation has been provided.

For buyers seeking a flagship Android experience in a compact package, the OnePlus 15T or its India-branded variant could be of interest, depending on regional availability and pricing. Those prioritising larger screens or specialized camera features may still prefer other premium models. More concrete details should emerge as March approaches.
