Oppo Watch S Launches Globally With 1.46 Inch AMOLED Display and 100 Sports Modes

Global launch and pricing

The Oppo Watch S has rolled out in global markets, following an initial Chinese release in October of the previous year. The company positions the wearable with a 1.46-inch AMOLED display and more than 100 sports modes, supported by a 339 mAh battery. Oppo notes up to 10 days of battery life in normal use and up to seven days in typical use, with up to four days when Always-On Display is enabled. The device is available in two colour options, Phantom Black and Silver Glow, and comes in a package that includes a strap weighing roughly 35 grams. The Watch S runs on ColorOS Watch 7.1 and includes a BES2800BP chipset paired with 4 GB of storage.

Pricing and availability in Europe

In Europe, the Oppo Watch S is priced at EUR 259 in Germany. In neighboring markets, it is listed at EUR 230 in France and EUR 209 in Spain. The model supports Android 9.0 or later and iOS 14.0 or later, with Bluetooth 5.2 and multiple profiles (HFP, HSP, A2DP, AVRCP, SPP). Oppo confirms the watch will be available in both Phantom Black and Silver Glow colourways as part of its global rollout. The device carries IP68 water resistance and a 5 ATM rating, aligning with common wearables in this class.

Design, display and performance

The Oppo Watch S centers on a 1.46-inch AMOLED panel offering a resolution of 464x464 pixels and approximately 317 PPI. Oppo advertises peak brightness capabilities including 600 nits in standard mode, 1500 nits in High Brightness Mode, and a claimed peak of up to 3000 nits. The screen is driven by ColorOS Watch 7.1 and paired with a BES2800BP chipset, along with 4 GB of eMMC storage. This smartwatch can work with all Android smartphones that run the Android 9.0 or higher version and iPhones that run the iOS 14.0 or higher version. It uses Bluetooth technology version 5.2 and various types of Bluetooth profiles to allow it to send and receive audio and data.

The watch has multiple sensors built in that help to monitor your wellbeing and fitness including: an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic (compass), barometer (altimeter), optical heart (blood-flow) sensor, optical blood oxygene sensor, wrist temperature sensor and ambient light sensor. It has a dual-band (L1+L5) Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver for improved accuracy when tracking activity and location, and also contains a 16-channel blood oxygene sensor. For health-tracking, the Oppo app has a 60-second Wellness Overview feature that provides quick insight into your current heart rate, last sleep duration and quality, average SpO2, last stress score, wrist temperature and more, as well as how you were sleeping (Staging – REM, Deep, Light), respiration rates, and recent night-time SpO2 measurements rate (total of three statistics).

You can use the watch to constantly monitor your heart rate, set alerts/limits for high and low heart rates, record your resting heart rate, benchmark your sleeping habits and use additional tools such as: manually/continuously monitor blood oxygen levels; follow breathing exercises; set up fall detection; and track your activity using the 100+ activity modes included in the app (including detailed analysis on how you were active). On the physical design, the device measures 44.98 x 44.98 x 8.9 mm and weighs around 35 grams without the strap, with a robust build that includes IP68-rated water resistance and a 5 ATM standard.
