Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike Special Edition Launches in India With H2 Chip and ANC
Beats and Nike have announced the Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 Special Edition, a first collaboration between the brands on this wireless earbud line. The edition builds on the standard Powerbeats Pro 2 with design tweaks and dual branding, while preserving the core features that define the model. Beats said in a press release that the Nike Special Edition will be available in select markets, including India, with online sales starting March 20.
In India, the Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 Special Edition is priced at Rs 29,900 and will be available for online purchase starting March 20, Beats confirmed. In the United States, the Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds carry a price of $249.99. Global sales are planned to begin on March 20 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time through Apple’s website, Nike.com, and select Apple Stores across various markets, including the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Germany, Canada, Australia, Singapore, France, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Hong Kong.
The Nike edition features dual branding, with the Beats “b” logo on one earbud and the Nike Swoosh on the other. A Volt and matte black finish are offered, and the charging case carries a Volt splatter design with Nike branding inside. The edition retains the look and feel of the Powerbeats Pro 2 while injecting Nike branding into the product’s silhouette.
Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 Specifications, Features
The Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 retains the core features of the Powerbeats Pro 2 and adds sport-focused branding and materials. It includes secure-fit earhooks, IPX4-rated sweat and water resistance, Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode. It also supports adaptive ANC, adaptive EQ, and spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, as described by Beats in its communications about the product.
The Nike edition is powered by Apple’s H2 chip and uses dual-element dynamic diaphragm transducers. Each earbud contains three microphones, optical sensors for in-ear detection and heart-rate monitoring, and motion sensors, including an accelerometer and a gyroscope. Heart-rate tracking uses LED optical sensors to measure blood flow in real time and can sync with compatible fitness apps, including Nike Run Club and other options in India. The earbuds also integrate with the Nike Run Club app out of the box and come with multiple ear tip sizes to improve fit.
Connectivity comes via Bluetooth 5.3 and supports compatibility with both Apple and Android devices. On Apple devices, features include one-touch pairing, automatic switching, Audio Sharing, hands-free Siri, and Find My support, while Android users can access similar features through the Beats app. On-ear controls and a physical volume rocker provide hardware-based management of playback and calls.
Battery life and charging are aligned with the Powerbeats Pro 2 family. Beats claims up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, with the charging case delivering up to 45 additional hours. A five-minute charge is claimed to provide up to 90 minutes of playback. The charging case is Qi-compatible for wireless charging and also supports USB Type-C charging, ensuring modern, fast recharging options for users on the go.
In terms of availability, Beats and Nike have positioned the Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 Special Edition for online and select retail channels starting March 20. The global roll-out includes a broad list of markets and is aimed at users seeking a sport-centric version of the Powerbeats Pro 2 with Nike branding and integrated fitness features.
Overall, the Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 Special Edition combines Beats’ audio engineering with Nike’s branding and fitness-oriented software integration. The product remains anchored in the Powerbeats Pro 2 platform, while offering a distinct aesthetic and branding package for the Indian market and other global regions where it will appear.
