REDMAGIC 11 Air Opens Early Access With $1 Voucher Jan 29
Launch timeline and access
The REDMAGIC 11 Air, the next-generation model in the Air series, is set to launch globally on January 29. The company says the 11 Air keeps the slim, lightweight design characteristic of the Air line while adding an active cooling fan—the first of its kind in the Air series. An early bird voucher priced at $1/€1 is available from now through February 10 on the company’s site. The voucher unlocks early access on February 10, with open sales for everyone else beginning February 11. The voucher can be redeemed for a discount and a free exclusive REDMAGIC Phone Stand.
The 11 Air stays true to the Air design language with a slimmer, lighter build. It measures 7.85mm in thickness and weighs 207g, compared with 8.9mm and 230g for the 11 Pro. These changes underscore the model’s emphasis on portability while sustaining gaming performance.
Hardware upgrades and cooling
Under the hood, the REDMAGIC 11 Air moves to Snapdragon 8 Elite and the new RedCore R4 chip, stepping up from the previous Air’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and RedCore R3. The RedCore R4 handles super resolution and frame generation to help boost a game’s frame rate to match the device’s 6.85-inch display. The CPU is built on the TSMC 4nm process, with the Oryon core capable of up to 4.32 GHz and the Adreno 830 GPU clocked at up to 1,250 MHz. This pairing aims to deliver flagship-level performance with responsive gameplay under load.
The RedCore R4 pairs with a CUBE system scheduler to optimize CPU, GPU, and thermal performance. Officials described the result as smoother, higher-quality graphics under heavy load, stable frame rates across extended sessions, and more efficient power management for longer gaming sessions. These elements together form the core of the Air model’s gaming focus.
Display, controls and design
The REDMAGIC 11 Air carries a 6.85-inch OLED display with a flat chassis, 1,216 x 2,688 px resolution, and ultra-narrow bezels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 960Hz touch sampling rate. Magical Touch has the ability to give you accurate control when playing competitively, along with shoulder triggers with a sampling rate of 520Hz. You can customize how you play through the Magic Key, which gives full customizable controls through the X-Gravity Gaming Center.
It has memory and storage options that can support up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of storage space; it also has an upgrade from UFS 4.1 storage (previous generation), so it will have faster read/write time to games and applications.
The device has thermal management through the REDMAGIC ICE Cooling System. This is accomplished with a 24,000RPM turbo fan, a much larger vapor chamber that dissipates heat at 40% more than before, and a layer made of graphene. There is also an artificial intelligence (AI) thermal management system that optimizes the power to both the CPU and GPU and adjusts the fan speeds to maintain an acceptable temperature while avoiding thermal throttling.
This device's design is very true to what you would expect from REDMAGIC as a gaming device; it has a completely flat rectangle shape with no punch holes/cut outs, and the gaming controls are all integrated within the device itself. You will have the ability to use a highly contrasted image for your immersive gaming experience on a 6.85" panel, while also having a totally flat design so that you will have better control of how you handle/play during longer periods of time.
