Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Appears on Geekbench With Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and 6GB RAM
Samsung Galaxy A27 5G surfaces on Geekbench
Samsung’s Galaxy A27 5G has appeared on Geekbench, giving an early look at its processor, RAM and software details. The listing suggests the phone may use an older Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, support 6GB of RAM and run Android 16 with One UI 8.5.
The device, identified by model number SM-A276B, was also recently spotted on the IMEI database in global and US variants. The listings point to a launch that may not be far away, though Samsung has not announced the phone.
Geekbench listing shows core setup and scores
According to an X post by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the handset expected to be the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G has turned up on Geekbench with an octa-core ARM-based processor built on the ARMv8 architecture. The scorecard shows two clusters, with four cores clocked at 1.80GHz and another four running at up to 2.40GHz.
The chipset is expected to be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The listing also points to an Adreno 710 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The handset is shown running Android 16 and is likely to ship with One UI 8.5 on top. It scored 777 in the single-core test and 1,802 in the multi-core test.
IMEI sightings suggest the phone is nearing launch
The Galaxy A27 5G has also been seen on the IMEI database in recent days, with model numbers SM-A276B/DS and SM-A276U for global and US variants, respectively. That database appearance suggests an imminent launch in select global markets, based on the information in the listing.
The tipster also noted that the use of a nearly two-year-old processor in a 2026 smartphone may be linked to rising memory component costs. That point was mentioned as a possible reason for the hardware choice, not as a confirmed explanation from Samsung.
For comparison, the current Galaxy A26 5G uses an Exynos 1380 SoC, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of onboard storage and Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box.
The A26 5G also comes with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, up to 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel selfie shooter.
Samsung has not disclosed the Galaxy A27 5G’s final specifications or launch timing. For now, the Geekbench and IMEI entries are the main signs that testing is underway and the device is moving closer to release.
