Vivo on Wednesday unveiled the Y51 Pro 5G in India, placing it in the company’s Y-series lineup. The phone will be available for purchase through Flipkart and Vivo India’s online store. It will be offered in two storage configurations and two colour options, and pricing starts at Rs 24,999 for the base model (8GB RAM + 128GB storage), with the top variant priced at Rs 27,999 (8GB RAM + 256GB storage). A cashback offer of up to Rs 2,500 is available to customers who buy the device before March 16.

The device is set to go on sale in India on March 11 via Flipkart and the Vivo India online store, according to company disclosures. This timing places the Y51 Pro 5G in direct competition with other mid-range 5G devices in the market as buyers prepare for the year’s first wave of smartphone launches.

Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y51 Pro 5G is an Android 16 (Origin OS 6) based smartphone that has two SIM card slots and lots of features. The phone has a high screen refresh rate (up to 120 Hz) and a large 6.75” LCD display (720 x 1570 pixels). The back is made from composite plastic with the phone rated to be water or dust resistant under IP68 and IP69 specifications (according to Vivo).

Underneath the cover is a 4-NM, 8-Core, MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor with four cores running at 2.5 GHz for performance and four cores running at 2.0 GHz for power efficiency. The Y51 Pro 5G has an 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and can be configured with up to 256 GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage.

From a camera perspective, there are two rear-facing cameras (50 MP f/2.0 and 2 MP f/2.4) and one front-facing camera (8 MP f/2.05) that enable recording video in 4K resolution. The battery is a 7,200mAh capacity unit with 44W wired fast charging support, and the device offers 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, and GPS/BeiDou/GLONASS/Galileo/QZSS connectivity. A range of onboard sensors includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone measures 166.6x78.4x8.39mm and weighs about 219g. Colors listed for the model are Festive Red and Noble Gold.
