Honor Magic V6 Debuts at MWC 2026 With 6,660mAh Battery
Overview
Honor unveiled the Magic V6 at MWC 2026 as the company’s flagship foldable. The device showcases a slimmer foldable design, a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, dual LTPO displays with high brightness, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The company also introduced the MagicPad 4 tablet, the MagicBook Pro 14 laptop, and the Honor Robot Phone concept, which is described as integrating embodied AI with robot‑grade motion control and real‑time subject tracking for adaptive video capture.
The Magic V6 will launch in select markets in the second half of the year. Pricing and RAM/storage variants will be announced later. It comes in Black, Gold, Red and White colorways, though regional availability may vary.
Display, Battery and Build Quality
The Magic V6 features a 6.52‑inch LTPO 2.0 cover display and a 7.95‑inch LTPO 2.0 inner display, with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz on both panels. The outer screen offers up to 6,000 nits peak brightness for HDR content, while the inner screen reaches up to 5,000 nits. Honor says the inner display uses ultra-thin flexible glass and carries SGS crease minimised certification, with a claimed 44 percent reduction in crease depth compared to the previous Magic V5. The display also supports 4,320Hz PWM dimming and includes an anti‑reflection coating that reduces reflectivity to about 1.5 percent.
In design terms, the V6 measures 8.75mm in thickness when folded. It carries IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings under IEC 60529 standards. The hinge is built from what the company calls Super Steel material rated at 2,800 MPa and has reportedly passed 500,000 folding tests conducted by SGS. Honor also highlights an anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield coating for added protection and claims improvements in drop, scratch and wear resistance over prior materials.
Battery and Charging
- 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery developed with ATL
- 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging; reverse wireless charging support
- Energy density cited as 921 Wh/L with fifth‑generation silicon‑carbon material containing 25 percent silicon
At the show, Honor also introduced its Silicon‑carbon Blade Battery with 32 percent silicon content and energy density over 900 Wh/L, described as a platform for future foldables with larger capacities, potentially up to 7,000mAh in subsequent devices.
Performance, Camera and AI
The V6 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and is paired with advanced vapor chamber cooling to sustain performance. The phone is said to support up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It ships with Android 16‑based MagicOS 10 and comes with seven major OS upgrades promised by the company.
Honor highlights AI features such as AI‑assisted multitasking, AI Meeting Agent, AI Suggestions and cross‑app actions. The device also supports cross‑ecosystem connectivity, including Mac screen extension, iCloud file access, and notification sharing with compatible iPhone and Apple Watch devices via the Honor Connect and Super Workstation apps on supported macOS, iOS and Windows systems.
The triple rear camera setup comprises a 50‑megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 64‑megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50‑megapixel ultra‑wide camera. Both the inner and outer displays house 20‑megapixel selfie cameras. Honor says the telephoto camera offers CIPA 6.5‑rated image stabilization in its laboratory tests. The camera software includes AIMAGE Portrait Engine and AIMAGE Color Engine for image processing enhancements.
Availability and Market Strategy
Honor states the Magic V6 will be available in select markets in the second half of the year. Pricing and RAM/storage variants will be announced at a later date. Color options include Black, Gold, Red and White, with regional availability varying by market.
