OPPO launches Find X9 Ultra in China

OPPO has launched the Find X9 Ultra in China with a dual 200MP camera setup, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 7,050mAh battery. The company is also bringing the Find X9 Ultra to India in May along with the Find X9s, while the Find X9s Pro is expected to stay exclusive to China.

The Find X9 Ultra sits at the top of OPPO’s new lineup and comes with a quad-camera system, Hasselblad tuning, a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED display and 100W wired charging. The Find X9s Pro was launched in China at the same event with a compact display, dual 200MP cameras and a 7,025mAh battery.

Find X9 Ultra camera and hardware details

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra’s camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 200MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-telephoto shooter. OPPO says the phone supports up to 10x optical zoom, up to 20x optical quality zoom and 120x digital zoom. It also supports 8K recording and 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision.

OPPO is continuing its partnership with Hasselblad for colour tuning. The phone also includes XPAN mode and video tools, as listed in the launch details. In China, the base 12GB+256GB model is priced at CNY 7,499, which is about Rs 1,03,200. The device is also being offered in four more memory configurations.

Find X9s Pro joins the lineup in China

Alongside the Ultra, OPPO introduced the Find X9s Pro, a smaller model with a 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.1mm bezels. It carries what OPPO describes as a dual 200MP camera setup with Hasselblad tuning, but the camera list in the launch details also includes a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide with autofocus, and a 32MP front camera.

The Find X9s Pro also includes nine Hasselblad Master Mode film styles, including ‘Gentle Light’ and ‘Rich’. It is available in four memory configurations, with the 12GB+512GB version starting at CNY 5,299, or about Rs 72,900. OPPO’s launch details say the Find X9s Pro may remain exclusive to China, while the Find X9s is the model expected for India.

The company has also launched the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit with the Find X9 Ultra. The kit includes a teleconverter with 300mm optical focus and 690mm optical quality zoom. The Find X9 Ultra is expected to compete directly with the Vivo X300 Ultra, which also has a dual 200MP camera setup and is set to debut in India next month.
