Vivo X Fold 6 Tipped With 200MP Camera and 7000mAh Battery
Foldable cycle picks up with Vivo and Xiaomi leaks
The next wave of foldable phones is taking shape, with fresh details emerging on the Vivo X Fold 6 tipped and Xiaomi’s next Mix Fold model. A tipster has claimed that Vivo’s upcoming book-style foldable could feature a 200-megapixel primary rear camera and one of the largest batteries ever seen on a foldable smartphone, while Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new chipset for its next device and aiming for a Q3 launch window.
The leaks arrive after the 2026 foldable cycle has already started with the launch of the Honor Magic V6 and Oppo Find N6 in China. Samsung is also expected to introduce its latest book-style foldable globally, along with a wide-folding model, later this year. Against that backdrop, the Vivo X Fold 6 and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 6 are now being discussed as two of the next major entries in the category.
Vivo X Fold 6 specifications tipped online
According to a Weibo post by tipster Bald Panda, translated from Chinese, the next major foldable from Vivo, likely to be called the Vivo X Fold 6, could place battery life and camera hardware at the center of its design. The post says the phone may carry a 200-megapixel primary rear camera and a very large battery, with the tipster describing it as one of the biggest battery setups ever seen on a foldable phone.
This lines up with an earlier leak from tipster Digital Chat Station, also translated from Chinese, which pointed to a 7,000mAh battery on the X Fold 6. The handset is still expected to keep a thin and lightweight body, according to the reports.
Other claims about the phone suggest it may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. That chip is currently used in several sub-flagship smartphones in the market. Previous reports, including mentions in IMEI databases, suggest that the Vivo X Fold 6 is already in development.
The launch timing being discussed for the Vivo model is around June, which would fit the release cycle of the Vivo X Fold 5. No official details have been announced by Vivo.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 6 launch window and chipset change
On Xiaomi’s side, the company’s next foldable is currently being referred to in reports as the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 or Xiaomi Mix Fold 6, depending on the leak. The device is said to bring changes at the chipset level rather than a broad design overhaul, with one report pointing to a new proprietary processor reportedly called the Xring O3. That chip is expected to succeed last year’s Xring O1.
In the comments section of the original post, Bald Panda further said Xiaomi is targeting a Q3 launch window for the foldable handset. As with the Vivo device, these are still reported details rather than confirmed specifications.
The foldable phone market is already moving into its next phase, and the latest claims suggest both Vivo and Xiaomi are preparing updates that focus on core hardware. For Vivo, that means a bigger battery and a higher-resolution main camera. For Xiaomi, the reported change is centered on the processor.
For now, the Vivo X Fold 6 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 6 remain in the rumor stage. But the details circulating online point to an active launch season ahead, with June and Q3 being the main time frames currently tied to the two phones.
