Vivo X300 FE Teased in Green India variant

Vivo has officially teased the X300 FE in India, giving a first clear look at the phone before launch and confirming a green colour option for the market. The company’s images, shared on X, also confirm the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset for the Indian variant, matching the global model.

The teaser shows a redesigned rear with a horizontal camera module, and the phone is expected to support a ZEISS telephoto extender accessory. The X300 FE is expected to launch on May 6 and is likely to sit above the X200 FE in price, but below the wider X300 series.

Design changes and camera setup

Vivo’s teaser images show the X300 FE in a green finish, which the company has confirmed will be exclusive to India. The phone uses a flat back and a horizontal camera island that stretches across the top portion of the rear panel. That layout is different from the X200 FE, which had a vertical, pill-shaped camera module placed to one side.

The new rear design places three sensors inside the horizontal module, along with ZEISS branding. The change gives the phone a different look from the earlier FE model. It also separates the FE line from Vivo’s standard flagship family, which has mostly used circular camera modules on other recent phones.

Along with the new layout, Vivo is also working with a telephoto accessory system. The X300 FE is expected to support a ZEISS telephoto extender that clips on through a case. A report from Smartprix showed the phone working with the accessory, and the setup appears to be part of a broader camera ecosystem Vivo is pushing across the X300 lineup. The X300 Ultra, which is launching alongside the FE, has also been seen with a similar setup.

Expected specifications and launch details

The X300 FE first debuted in China on March 4 and is described as a reworked version of the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. Vivo has not announced every India detail yet, but the available information points to a compact phone with flagship-grade hardware.

  • 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset
  • Triple rear camera setup with 50MP primary, 50MP telephoto and 8MP ultrawide sensors
  • ZEISS optics
  • Optional ZEISS lens attachments
  • 6,500mAh battery
  • 90W wired charging
  • 40W wireless charging

On pricing, Vivo is expected to place the X300 FE between the X200 FE and the X300 series. The X200 FE launched at Rs 54,999 and went up to Rs 59,999, while the X300 5G currently sits between Rs 75,999 and Rs 85,999. The X300 FE is expected to land between those two price bands, though Vivo has not announced the exact figure.

The phone is expected in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants. Reports suggest the X300 Ultra and X300 FE may launch in India in early May, with sales likely to begin around May 14. Vivo has not confirmed the full launch schedule yet, but the teaser makes it clear the phone is close to release. The X300 FE also appears to be focused on keeping a compact size while adding a larger battery and support for modular photography accessories.

The India teaser is the clearest look so far at the device, and it confirms the green colour, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and the changed camera design. More details are expected when Vivo formally announces the launch.
