Vivo confirms Y600 Pro launch for April 27 in China
Vivo has confirmed the launch date of the Y600 Pro in China for April 27, with sales expected to start on April 30. The phone is also confirmed to come with a 10,200mAh battery, 1.5K display, OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, and IP68 plus IP69 protection.
The company has begun teasing several hardware details ahead of the debut, including 90W wired charging, multiple colour options, and battery technology aimed at long-term durability. Previous listings have also pointed to a possible 6.83-inch OLED screen, MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, and up to 12GB RAM.
Launch schedule and availability
Vivo has set the Y600 Pro launch in China for April 27, according to a Weibo post by Huang Tao, vice president of Vivo China, translated from Chinese. Sales of the handset are expected to begin on April 30. The phone is teased in Floating Gold, Bright Moon Black, Vast Blue and Starry Purple, as translated from Chinese.
The Y600 Pro is positioned as the successor to the Vivo Y500 Pro, which was introduced in November 2025. Vivo has not added full launch-day specifications in the teaser, but it has already confirmed several core features ahead of the event.
Battery, charging and durability details
The biggest confirmed specification is the battery. Vivo says the Y600 Pro will carry a 10,200mAh battery, which it describes as the largest battery ever used in a Vivo phone. The handset also supports 90W wired fast charging, with the company claiming a full charge in under 80 minutes.
Vivo says the phone can offer up to 16.7 days of standby time and more than 12 hours under heavy workloads. The battery system uses second-generation semi-solid battery technology and is designed to maintain stable performance in temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius. The company also says the device includes AI-based power optimisation at the chip level and battery health designed to last up to six years.
On durability, the Y600 Pro is confirmed with an IP68 plus IP69-rated build for dust and water resistance. It will also include an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Confirmed display and software
- 1.5K resolution display
- Eye-care features
- OriginOS 6 based on Android 16
- In-display fingerprint sensor
- IP68 plus IP69 dust and water resistance
Vivo has confirmed that the phone will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The display is confirmed to have 1.5K resolution and eye-care features. That is the extent of the official detail so far from the company.
Earlier listings suggest a 6.83-inch OLED display with 1,260 x 2,800 pixels resolution. Those listings also point to a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e SoC, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. For cameras, the handset may get a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera, though Vivo has not confirmed those parts in its own teaser.
The company said more details should surface closer to launch. For now, the April 27 event is the confirmed date, and the handset is already set apart by its battery size, charging speed, and durability ratings. Sales are expected three days later on April 30.
With the launch nearing, the Vivo Y600 Pro is emerging as one of the more closely watched Vivo releases in the China market, mainly because the confirmed battery capacity is higher than any previous Vivo smartphone. Further official specifications are expected around the launch window.
