Xiaomi Pad 9 battery size leak points to bigger battery
Xiaomi Pad 9 battery size chatter now points to a 9,720mAh cell, and this time the signal comes from HyperOS code. That detail matters because it suggests Xiaomi may be aiming for a clearer endurance bump over the Pad 8, while model numbers also hint at an October 2026 launch window.
Pad 9 model numbers revealed point to an October 2026 launch
The standard model has turned up as M656BA, 26103RP65G, and 26103RP65I, and the “2610” prefix is the part that stands out most. In leak tracking, that kind of numbering often gives the best clue about timing, and here it lines up with an October 2026 launch window.
If that holds up, the Pad 9 series would land in a busy autumn tablet cycle. That would put it alongside Xiaomi’s next flagship phones, which is usually a crowded stretch for product announcements and follow-up coverage.
For buyers and tech watchers, the main point is not just the date itself. It is the way the model numbers support the wider picture of a late-2026 release rather than an earlier refresh. The timing also suggests Xiaomi is not rushing this one out, at least based on the current leak pattern.
Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and India launch remain uncertain
The Pad 9 family still appears to be split into two very different tiers. The regular tablet is expected to keep Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the higher-end Pad 9 Pro may move up to Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. That separation would keep the standard model in a strong premium Android tablet position without pushing it into the absolute top-end class.
There is also uncertainty around where the Pro model will launch. A December report suggested the Pad 9 Pro could skip India, which would leave Xiaomi’s tablet lineup divided by market in a way that matters for availability. If that report proves accurate, the regular Pad 9 would likely be the more widely discussed option in some regions.
That split would also create a clearer performance gap between the two models. In simple terms, the Pad 9 would seem to focus on battery life and mainstream premium use, while the Pro would be reserved for users who want the stronger chipset and, potentially, a different launch footprint.
For now, the uncertainty is part of the story. Xiaomi has not confirmed the battery size, the model timing, or the regional plan, so the current picture still comes from code references and separate reports. But the direction is fairly clear: the Pad 9 looks set for a larger battery than the Pad 8, and the Pro model may be handled more selectively.
That makes the Xiaomi Pad 9 one of the more closely watched Android tablets in the next release cycle. If the 9,720mAh figure is correct, the standard model could end up being the practical choice in the lineup, while the Pro stays the one with the bigger performance question mark.
