Galaxy M67 Geekbench listing reveals Exynos 2200 and Android 17

Samsung’s Galaxy M67 has surfaced in a Geekbench listing with a mix of details that stand out more than usual. The SM-M676K appears with 8GB RAM, Exynos 2200, and Android 17, which suggests Samsung is testing something a little different for its India-focused midrange lineup.

The benchmark scores, 1,589 in single-core and 3,923 in multi-core, do not tell the full story on their own, but they do confirm that this is an active internal test. The bigger surprise is the chip choice. Instead of a typical midrange processor, Samsung seems to be working with an older flagship Exynos part that changes the way the Galaxy M67 fits into the company’s broader lineup.

Samsung Galaxy SM-M676K runs an old flagship chip, not a midrange one

The Exynos 2200 is the detail that makes the Galaxy M67 listing notable. It is a 2022 4nm chipset with a 1+3+4 CPU layout and an Xclipse GPU, so this is not the kind of silicon people usually expect in a Galaxy M-series phone. In most cases, the M lineup leans toward practical, cost-focused hardware, which is why this leak has drawn attention.

Samsung may be using leftover flagship silicon here, though the listing alone does not explain the full plan. That possibility matters because it could help the Galaxy M67 stand apart from the usual overlap between Galaxy M and Galaxy A devices. For Samsung, that kind of separation can be useful in India, where the midrange segment is crowded and product positioning matters more than ever.

The Geekbench record also shows the SM-M676K with 8GB of RAM. That is a fairly standard memory figure for a midrange device today, but paired with the Exynos 2200, it creates an unusual mix. The phone does not look like a basic spec refresh. It looks more like an internal test of a different direction for the series.

Android 17 on Galaxy M67 hints at One UI 8.5 and an early test build

Another part of the listing points to Android 17 on the Galaxy M67, with One UI 8.5 likely sitting on top in this pre-release software. That combination strongly suggests Samsung is not testing a final retail build yet. Instead, this appears to be an advanced internal version that may still change before any public launch.

Software listings like this are often early signs, not final confirmation. Still, the presence of Android 17 is useful because it gives a sense of how far along Samsung may be in its development cycle for the device. It also hints that the Galaxy M67 could arrive with software branding that feels a step ahead of what many buyers currently expect from the M series.

For now, the benchmark listing does not reveal everything. It does not confirm design, camera hardware, battery size, or charging details. Those missing pieces matter, especially for a phone aimed at the India market, where buyers usually compare the full package rather than one standout spec.

Even so, the leak is enough to make the Galaxy M67 more interesting than a routine benchmark appearance. A midrange Samsung phone running Exynos 2200 and showing Android 17 in testing is not the standard M-series pattern. As the India launch window becomes clearer, this model will likely be watched closely for signs of how Samsung plans to position it.
