Huawei has teased the Mate 80 Pro design ahead of its global launch at the Madrid event. The company shared visuals highlighting the new Dual Space Ring rear design, which appears aligned with the Chinese variant first launched in November. The Mate 80 Pro is shown in a champagne-gold finish, dubbed Dawn Gold in China, with a large circular rear camera module and a secondary circular imprint beneath it.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro Global Variant Details
In China, the Mate 80 Pro runs HarmonyOS 6.0 and uses a 6.75-inch LTPO AMOLED display protected by Kunlun Glass. The model is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset and has an IP68 and IP69 classification for dust and water resistance. A 5,500mAh battery supports 100W wired fast charging, 80W wireless fast charging, and 18W wired reverse charging.

The Mate 80 Pro camera system features a 50-megapixel RYYB main sensor with a variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0), a 40-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 48-megapixel macro telephoto, and a second-generation Red Maple color camera. The front camera uses a 13-megapixel sensor alongside a 3D depth-sensing unit for face recognition.
Launch Event Details
Huawei has confirmed the Mate 80 Pro will be unveiled globally at its Innovative Product Launch event in Madrid, Spain, on February 26. The event will also introduce other devices, including the Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 and the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 with an upgraded golf mode.
