Certification Signals Indian Launch
Model numbers X6840 and X6891 for the Infinix GT 50 Pro 5G have now been included in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database due to some clearance processes. Although there is no launch date or detailed specifications given in this listing, this suggests that regulatory activity for this device has been completed and is now available for sale in India. Tech blogger Paras Guglani has published purported real-life images of the rumoured handset, showing a dual rear camera setup headed by a 50-megapixel main sensor and an LED flash accompanying the module.
Design and Specifications
The released images purportedly show a back panel bearing Pininfarina branding, suggesting a collaboration with the Italian car design firm. The device is also described as potentially offering NFC connectivity. According to the leaked images, there is a power button and volume controls located on the right side of the device, and the SIM card tray is located at the bottom of it. Also, there was evidence of a possible liquid cooling solution visible, which could assist in managing heat during gaming or other demanding activities on the phone. Earlier renders had hinted at green LEDs on the back and a textured rear panel resembling a carbon-fibre finish.
In terms of what the GT 50 Pro 5G is expected to offer, the handset is said to sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. According to reports, the processor consists of the MediaTek Dimension 8400 Ultimate chipset along with 12 Gigs of RAM and maximum of 512 Gigs of onboard storage; while on the back of the device will feature a 50 Megapixel main camera sensor and an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide camera, while the front-facing camera should be a 13 Megapixel sensor for taking selfies and making video calls.

The BIS listing and the accompanying online leaks point to a potential launch of the GT series in India in the near term, though the filing does not reveal a date or further technical specifics. Officials have not confirmed a launch timetable, and Infinix has not issued an official statement on the phone’s arrival in the country. Industry observers caution that a formal unveiling could occur in the coming weeks if regulatory clearance aligns with product readiness.
Infinix previously introduced the GT 30 Pro 5G in India last year as part of its GT lineup. If the GT 50 Pro 5G reaches the market, it would extend the series with higher-end features and branding signals. No additional details were provided by the company as of the BIS entry, and a launch window remains unannounced.
