Motorola Razr 2026 Teaser Sets April 29 Date and Shows New Colours
Motorola Razr 2026 teaser points to April 29
Motorola has begun teasing the Razr 2026 in the US, and the teaser now includes April 29 as the key date. The date may mark the global launch, though the company could also use it to begin a staggered reveal, with more details to follow in the days after. The phone is expected to launch globally as the Razr 70.
The teaser shows a design that stays close to last year’s Razr 60. The clamshell form factor remains, along with the large cover display that wraps around the dual rear cameras. Motorola is also showing the phone in brown, green and purple finishes, with a textured lower half visible in the images.
Motorola has not changed the basic shape much, and the latest teaser suggests the company is continuing with the same design language. The cover display remains a central feature of the device, and the right side still appears to hold the power and volume buttons in a familiar layout.
Razr 70 expected specifications and launch window
Based on the current reports, the Razr 2026 is expected to come with a 6.9-inch foldable inner display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chipset, dual 50MP rear cameras, a 32MP internal camera and a battery of around 4,800mAh. The display is also expected to support up to a 120Hz refresh rate. These details place the phone in the upper mid-range rather than flagship territory.
- 6.9-inch AMOLED foldable inner display
- Up to 120Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chipset
- Dual 50MP rear cameras
- 32MP internal camera
- Around 4,800mAh battery
- Brown, green and purple colour options
The price is tipped to start at USD 799.99, which is about Rs 75,000, for the 8GB + 256GB version. The Razr 60 launched in India at Rs 49,999 last May, though the new price is not expected to be a direct conversion from the tipped US figure. The Razr 70 will sit below the Razr 70 Ultra in Motorola’s lineup, with the Ultra model expected to move closer to flagship specs.
Availability is expected shortly after the teaser date if the launch follows the usual pattern. Current reports point to a North American release in May, while other markets, including India, are likely to follow in late Q2. Motorola has used staggered rollouts before, and the latest teaser leaves that possibility open as well.
Design stays close to Razr 60
The Razr 2026 appears to keep the same broad formula that Motorola has used in recent Razr phones. The large outer screen remains one of the main changes from older flip phones in the segment, allowing more interaction without opening the device. The images also suggest a metal frame and a textured back panel on the lower half.
Motorola’s teaser does not point to a major redesign. Instead, it looks like a measured update, with the focus staying on the familiar clamshell shape, the outer display and the colour finishes. The phone is expected to launch globally as the Razr 70, while the US teaser continues to use the Razr 2026 name.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip series continues to be the better-known rival in the foldable segment, but Motorola is keeping its own approach focused on usability and the larger cover display. The new teaser does not change that direction. It simply gives the clearest sign yet that the next Razr is close to launch, with April 29 now the date to watch.
For now, the available details point to a phone that looks familiar, adds a few colour choices and keeps its position between the Razr 70 Ultra and more premium flip phones. Further reveal steps, if Motorola chooses that route, could arrive after the April 29 teaser date.
Motorola Razr 2026, or Razr 70 globally, has not been fully unveiled yet, but the current teaser has set the timeline, the design direction and several of the expected hardware details. The remaining question is whether April 29 brings the full launch or only the start of a staged announcement.
