Motorola Razr 70 Ultra Leak Reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 5,000mAh Battery

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra specs leak points to a restrained update

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra is reportedly getting closer to launch, with a new leak laying out most of its expected hardware. The foldable may keep several parts from the Razr 60 Ultra, while moving to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery.

The latest report, attributed to Android Headlines, suggests Motorola’s next top-end flip phone is shaping up as a modest refresh rather than a major redesign. Leaked renders had already shown the device’s design last week, and the new information now focuses on the internal specifications and a small set of visible changes.

Leaked Motorola Razr 70 Ultra specs

According to the report, the Razr 70 Ultra could keep the same triple 50MP camera setup seen on the Razr 60 Ultra. Memory and storage are also expected to remain unchanged at 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The display setup may likewise stay the same, with a 4-inch cover screen and a 7-inch internal panel, both carrying the same resolutions as before.

  • Triple 50MP camera system
  • 16GB RAM
  • 512GB storage
  • 4-inch cover screen
  • 7-inch internal display
  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
  • 5,000mAh battery

The main internal change appears to be the chipset. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected to replace the Snapdragon 8 Elite used in the previous model. The leak says that should bring gains in performance and efficiency, though the rest of the device may stay close to last year’s formula.

Battery capacity may also rise slightly. The Razr 70 Ultra is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery, up from the Razr 60 Ultra’s 4,700mAh unit. That would be about a 6 percent increase. The leak does not suggest any other major hardware changes.

Design, colours and timing

On the outside, the phone is expected to look nearly identical to its predecessor, with similar dimensions and weight. The only visual change mentioned in the leak is a new colour lineup, including Pantone Cocoa Wood and Orient Blue Alcantara.

The report also says Motorola Razr 70 Ultra is expected to debut soon, though no launch date is given. The phone sits at the top of Motorola’s flip-style lineup and follows the Razr 60 Ultra. Based on the leak, this year’s model may be more of a refined refresh than a major leap.

That positioning could matter in a market where Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip8 later this year. The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra leak does not confirm final launch details, but it does outline what appears to be the current shape of the company’s next foldable.

For now, the phone remains unannounced, and the leaked information is limited to the design and specifications that have surfaced online. The report points to a familiar build, a newer chipset, a slightly larger battery and little else that clearly changes the formula.
