OnePlus Nord CE 6 and CE 6 Lite Set for India Launch on May 7
OnePlus confirms India launch date for Nord CE 6 series
OnePlus Nord CE 6 and CE 6 Lite set for India launch on May 7 at 12 pm IST, the company said on its official India X page. Both phones are part of the wider Nord 6 lineup and will sit below the Nord 6 in pricing and hardware.
The phones will be sold through Amazon, and OnePlus also appears to be lining up other channels such as the OnePlus India store. Amazon has a dedicated microsite for the two devices, where updates and subscriptions are being handled ahead of launch. The latest teaser has also revealed early details on design and specifications.
Nord CE 6 brings 8,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 follows a cleaner camera layout with a small, minimalist deco and a textured-looking camera island. It has two rear camera sensors and an LED flash placed on the side. The phone will come in black, white and light blue colour options. OnePlus is also giving it IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, according to the teaser.
On the hardware side, the Nord CE 6 is confirmed to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. OnePlus says the phone supports 144 FPS gaming and 3,200 touch sampling rate, with the company again putting some focus on gaming features. The display is listed as a 1.5K panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits of peak brightness and 3,840Hz PWM dimming.

Nord CE 6 Lite gets a different design
The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite takes a different route in design, with a vertical camera island similar to the Nord 5 series. It will be available in black and light green. OnePlus says the phone will use the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and a 7,000mAh battery, with battery life quoted at up to two days.
The Lite model also gets a 144Hz display. That places it in the same general direction as the Nord CE 6, though the company says it will sit below the Nord 6 in pricing and hardware. The launch is aimed at widening OnePlus’ Nord portfolio and reaching more price points, according to the information in the teaser and launch announcement.

- Battery claim: up to two days
- Display: 144Hz

Both phones are set to debut in India on May 7 at 12 pm IST, and OnePlus India has already started teasing them online. The company has not added full launch details in the input beyond the teaser and the availability on Amazon, but the early information gives a clearer idea of where the two devices are positioned inside the Nord 6 lineup. The Nord CE 6 is the more feature-heavy of the two, while the Nord CE 6 Lite is being shown as the lower-priced option with a different design and a large battery.
For now, the launch page and teaser remain the main source of information on the two phones. More details are expected once OnePlus unveils the devices at the scheduled event.
