Toshiba 40V35RP 40 inch LED TV Price Comparison & History in India
Wait Before Buying This TV
Amazon currently lists the Toshiba V35 Series 40 Inch FHD Smart TV at ₹23,990. That's its highest recorded price. It sits 29% above the nine-entry average, so it's clearly expensive today. The average sits at ₹18,564 across those entries. Prices rose steadily from the early records, then climbed sharply during July. Across 341 days tracked, the cheapest listing was ₹14,990 from Amazon. That gap is large enough to matter for a normal buyer. Casual shoppers may miss one detail: this drop didn't return the TV near earlier levels. Its lowest point came near the beginning of the tracking period. Since then, the Toshiba V35 Series 40 Inch FHD Smart TV has moved mostly upward. The latest price also sits above its lowest level from the past three months. Amazon remains the cheapest platform right now because every recorded offer came from Amazon. There isn't a competing platform price to compare here. This history gives value-focused shoppers a solid reason to wait. For the Toshiba V35 Series, waiting matters more than chasing today's listing. A sale could bring it closer to its usual range.

Toshiba 40V35RP 40 inch LED TV Features & Overview
The Toshiba V35 Series 40 Inch FHD Smart TV is designed for everyday living rooms, delivering reliable 1080p images with thoughtful processing. Toshiba 40V35RP 40 inch LED TV HDR with A+ formats improves picture quality. The panel maintains color and clarity across typical viewing angles, and the REGZA Engine helps smooth motion and balance highlights. HDR A+ provides readable brightness in bright scenes, while streaming remains straightforward thanks to VIDAA U9.
Usage
In daily use, you’ll appreciate quick app launches and simple navigation for Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and YouTube. The TV supports Screen Sharing and AirPlay, so you can mirror from a smartphone or tablet without fuss. The 178 Degree wide viewing angle helps keep the picture consistent if you’re watching from the side, and the direct-lit LED backlight keeps motion smooth at 60 Hz without distracting flicker.
Capacity
The 40 inch display offers a comfortable balance between screen presence and room fit. It weighs about 4.8 Kilograms without the stand, and its dimensions are listed as a shallow 7.7D x 89.9W x 51.1H Centimeters chassis, which suits most living spaces. Brightness tops at 250 nits, enough for typical living room lighting and daytime viewing with decent contrast.
Controls
Control is flexible: use the included remote or the built-in app control. You’ll find the HDMI and USB ports practical for set‑top boxes, flash storage, or a speaker, while Anyview screen mirroring keeps your devices in sync. The TV supports a stable Wi‑Fi connection alongside Ethernet for reliable streaming.
Durability
The casing is a sturdy black frame with a direct‑lit LED backlight, not designed to be water resistant. Runtime weight is modest for a 40 inch set, and the platform holds up well to everyday use with minimal heat buildup during long viewing sessions.
Safety
Parental control features are accessible via the remote, providing a simple guardrail for younger viewers without complicating setup.
Installation/Warranty
Wall mounting or table mounting is supported, giving flexible placement options. The 1 Year Warranty covers the TV and remote from the date of purchase, with standard manufacturer support continuing through the period.

Toshiba 40V35RP 40 inch LED TV FAQs
Toshiba V35's 20W speakers are loud enough for a bedroom or small living room. DTS Virtual X adds some width to films, but it doesn't create proper surround sound from the TV itself. Dialogue stays clear at normal volume.
It uses 70 watts while running, which is normal for a 40-inch LED TV. The listed annual consumption is 76.65 kWh. There isn't a battery, so it needs a wall connection every time.
The picture stays visible from wide side positions, so family viewing works even when nobody sits dead centre. The best contrast still comes from sitting closer to the middle. At 40 inches, it fits bedrooms and smaller halls well.
The panel weighs 4.8 kg without the stand. Its 960 x 559 x 77 mm body is easy to handle during installation. It won't feel bulky while moving it into a bedroom or smaller hall.
Toshiba V35 runs VIDAA U9, while Samsung's 40-inch models use Tizen. Toshiba includes the main streaming apps, HDR support, AirPlay, and a Full HD screen. Pick Samsung for its Tizen interface; pick Toshiba for a simpler 40-inch setup.
LG's 43-inch models give you a larger screen than this 40-inch set. Toshiba is easier to place in a smaller room and still covers regular streaming with HDR support. For a bedroom or compact hall, the smaller panel makes more sense.
Both cover the main streaming apps, but Toshiba adds AirPlay and Anyview screen sharing. OnePlus Y1S is the better fit if you specifically want an Android TV-style interface. For iPhone households, Toshiba has the more useful built-in option.
1080p looks sharp enough on a 40-inch screen from normal sofa distance. The Regza Engine keeps everyday channels and videos looking clean, while HDR adds some extra contrast in supported content. Fine details won't match a 4K TV, but this size doesn't make Full HD look soft.
Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, JioHotstar, SonyLIV, Zee5, Apple TV, and Disney+ are listed. Crunchyroll, SunNXT, and Xstream Play are also included in the wider app list. The main streaming services are covered without needing a separate stick.
VIDAA U9 handles switching between the main apps without much fuss. Basic navigation feels smooth, and the interface doesn't throw up constant glitches. The 1GB RAM keeps it suited to everyday streaming rather than heavy multitasking.
Casual console gaming works well through HDMI, with a 60Hz refresh rate and 9.5ms response time. Controls feel responsive enough for racing games, sports titles, and story-driven play. Competitive players will notice this isn't a high-refresh gaming screen.
AirPlay and screen mirroring are built in, but Netflix and Prime Video don't cast from an iPhone through their apps. That problem is separate from ordinary screen sharing. The built-in mirroring is more useful for photos, videos, and compatible apps.
A display line appeared on one set within the warranty period, even though it worked properly at first. The panel fault needed a replacement set after the service process. Check the screen carefully during the first few weeks.
Warranty support can be painfully slow when the issue involves the panel. One case took around 50 days and needed repeated calls and emails before the TV was replaced. The replacement arrived eventually, but the support process was the weak part.
Real & Verified Reviews of Toshiba 40V35RP 40 inch LED TV
Best affordable TV
Good quality visuals and sound. Glitch free operating system. Best choice for affordable TV
Worst service support
The TV working well, picture quality and performance good. After four months the display developed a fault. I raised a warranty service request and a service technician collected the TV for repair. Unfortunately what followed was a very disappointing after sales service experience. It took 50days to resolve my complaint. I had to make numerous follow up calls and send several emails to customer support before any meaningful action was taken. Finally replaced the TV with a new unit. I personally recommend the unit is good. But after sales service support they have to improve it.
