Apple iOS 27 Supports iPhone 11, SE 2 and Newer Models

Apple iOS 27 Supports iPhone 11, SE 2 and Newer Models
Apple’s first developer betas for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and watchOS 27 are now available, and the supported device lists are part of the story. iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2 remain eligible for iOS 27, while Apple Intelligence features still stay limited to selected models.

For iPad users, iPadOS 27 reaches older entry devices and newer M-series hardware. On the Mac side, macOS 27 Golden Gate drops Intel support and stays focused on Apple silicon models.

iPadOS 27 Reaches iPad mini 6, iPad 9 and M4 Pro Models

The tablet list is broad, but it still shows Apple drawing a line between older devices and the newer chip tiers it wants to keep current. Support stretches from iPad 9 and iPad Air 4 to M2-based Air models and M4 iPad Pro hardware. That keeps iPadOS 27 available to a wide range of users, while higher-end iPads keep the stronger position for AI-heavy features.

macOS 27 Golden Gate Drops Intel and Stays Apple Silicon-Only

Mac support is narrower and sends a clearer hardware message. Apple silicon is the floor, with 2020-era MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models still included, along with newer desktop Macs and the new MacBook Neo. Intel Mac users are left outside the next macOS cycle, which makes the transition to Apple silicon even more complete.
