Motorola Razr 70 Ultra Surfaces on TENAA With 6.9 Inch Display and Snapdragon 8 Elite

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra appears on TENAA ahead of launch

Motorola Razr 70 Ultra Surfaces on TENAA certification database with key hardware details, showing a phone that stays close to the Razr 60 Ultra in display, camera and battery setup. The listing points to a 6.9-inch foldable OLED screen, a 4-inch cover display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite class processor and a battery rated at 4,540mAh.

The certification filing comes after the standard Razr 70 was cleared recently as well, suggesting the full series is nearing an official announcement in China. Earlier leaks and the TENAA entry do not fully match on battery and camera details, but the listed hardware still indicates that Motorola is keeping the new model near last year’s formula.

Motorola keeps the foldable close to last year’s model

The latest filing gives the clearest look yet at what Motorola is preparing for its next flip phone. According to the TENAA listing, the Razr 70 Ultra uses a 6.9-inch foldable OLED panel and a 4-inch outer screen, with the same resolutions as the Razr 60 Ultra. The design also appears familiar, with a thickness of 7.2mm and a weight of around 199 grams.

That places the new model close to the current phone in both size and layout. Leaked renders had already pointed in that direction, with only finish changes expected to stand out visually. The TENAA filing suggests the familiar approach continues across the hardware too, not just the look.

Snapdragon 8 Elite details and battery listing

One of the most important parts of the listing is the processor. TENAA shows a chipset with peak clock speeds of up to 4.32GHz, which lines up with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite from last year. Earlier leaks had pointed in different directions, with some suggesting a newer version of the chipset and others indicating Motorola would stay with the existing platform. The certification record now leans toward the latter.

Battery information is less clear. TENAA lists a rated capacity of 4,540mAh, which works out to roughly 4,700mAh in typical use. That is nearly unchanged from the Razr 60 Ultra. Some earlier leaks had suggested a larger 5,000mAh battery, though the latest filing does not support that figure. A separate 3C certification listing in China also suggests support for 68W fast charging.

Camera details follow a similar pattern. TENAA points to a dual 50MP rear camera setup and a 50MP front camera, matching the Razr 60 Ultra. Earlier leaks had mentioned a triple 50MP system, but that is not reflected in the certification data currently available.

The Razr 60 Ultra launched in India at Rs 99,999 for the 16GB + 512GB version in May 2025. Based on what has surfaced so far, the Razr 70 Ultra appears set to sit in the same premium foldable bracket, with a very similar mix of hardware choices.

For now, the TENAA entry and earlier reports show Motorola sticking close to the formula it used before. The displays, cameras, battery and overall design remain close to the current model. The standard Razr 70 has also cleared certification recently, which adds to signs that the full lineup is moving toward launch.

What remains to be seen is how Motorola will position the phone when it is officially introduced. The current information points to a device that changes little in the areas most users will notice first. The full launch should settle the remaining questions around battery, camera layout and regional variants.
