Godrej WM 8kg Top Load Price Comparison & History in India
Buy Now Only If You Need It
At ₹17,490 on Flipkart, this Godrej WM 8 kg Glacial Grey Top Load Washing Machine sits slightly below its ₹17,590 average. It has been tracked across 459 days, with prices moving up and down instead of staying steady. Its lowest recorded price was ₹16,990. That makes today’s deal reasonable, but not the best seen. The machine reached its highest point during the tracking period, then fell again. Recent movement also matters here. It touched the lowest recorded level in August, before rising and settling near today’s price. Amazon offered that low earlier, while Flipkart offered it later. So don't assume one store will always be cheaper for this model. The Power Wash Technology and eight-kilogram capacity suit regular family laundry. Still, shoppers should compare delivery, installation, warranty, and exchange benefits before paying. Those extras can change the real deal more than a small sticker-price gap. The Godrej WM 8 kg Glacial Grey Top Load Washing Machine is currently fairly placed. If your need isn't urgent, watching for another drop makes sense.

Godrej WM 8kg Top Load Features & Overview
Usage
In daily use the WM is about delivering a reliable wash fast. With Power Wash Technology the drum action creates stronger turbulence so soil loosens quickly, even on heavier loads. You drop in the laundry, select a program from the 10 options, and the machine takes care of agitation, rinse, and spin. Godrej WM 8kg Top Load with a 10-year motor warranty for reliability. It’s a top load, so loading and unloading feel natural, and the lid has a reassuring soft-close action that you notice every time. The water flows with purpose and you hear a subtle cadence as each cycle runs.
Capacity
The machine handles 8 Kilograms of laundry, a footprint suited for large families, letting you batch together outfits or towels in one go. The drum fills evenly and the spin cycle keeps noise reasonably contained for a household routine.
Controls
The control panel is touch-based; the response is crisp and there’s a tactile distinction when you press a program or start. The Water Protected Rear Control Panel design helps keep splashes away from sensitive electronics. The LED display shows remaining time clearly, with a soft click when you engage a new setting.
Durability
The tub uses an Acu Wash Drum design for gentle scrubbing, while the Quadra Steel Pulsator creates turbulence for strong wash action. The cabinet includes an Anti Rust Cabinet approach and a durable lid for long-term use.
Safety
There is a Child Lock feature and a Soft Close Lid for careful operation; these little touches help when kids are around and you’re managing a busy laundry day.
Installation and Warranty
The unit is Freestanding, designed to sit in a dedicated laundry corner. Warranty coverage is 2 years on product and 10 years on motor (terms apply). For service, contact the brand using the details provided in the packaging or invoice; the service center will guide you to a convenient slot. If a unit is installed outside of the brand service network, warranty repairs tied to installation may incur a charge.

Godrej WM 8kg Top Load FAQs
Power Wash gives clothes strong movement and noticeable scrubbing action. Daily dirt and regular family laundry come out clean without needing complicated settings. The pulsator creates enough turbulence to handle normal stains.
Wash noise stays fairly manageable during regular cycles. Spin noise gets louder, especially when the load becomes uneven. One heavy or badly placed load can make the machine shake and bang.
Yes, the cycle can resume from where it stopped after power returns. It doesn't restart the entire wash from the beginning. That saves time during short power cuts.
Fuzzy logic detects the load and adjusts the water level automatically. You don't need to guess how much water the clothes need. It works well for routine mixed laundry.
The 6.5 kg drum suits a small family and regular weekly washing. It handles everyday clothes, towels, and smaller bedsheets without much trouble. Large loads need better sorting instead of stuffing everything inside.
Normal, Daily Wash, and Cotton Wash cover the main household needs. Quick Wash helps when clothes only need a shorter refresh. The controls stay simple enough for first-time automatic washing machine buyers.
The metal outer body feels practical for everyday use. Its stainless steel tub is better suited to repeated washing than a basic plastic tub. The transparent lid also lets you check the load while it runs.
Godrej WM is simpler, with buttons and a basic top-load layout. LG's comparable machines usually bring more wash options and polished controls. Choose Godrej when straightforward daily washing matters more than extra controls.
Samsung models usually focus more on extra cycle options and modern control layouts. Godrej WM keeps the setup basic with fuzzy logic, quick wash, and an LED display. Its spin cycle can still get loud when the load is uneven.
Whirlpool top-load machines compete closely for basic household washing. Godrej WM gives you fuzzy logic, quick wash, and buttons that are easy to understand. Pick this one when you want fewer things to learn on the panel.
The machine itself is easy to set up once the water and drain connections are ready. Installation support has been poor in some cases, with delays or an unsatisfactory visit. That can turn a simple delivery into a frustrating start.
An uneven load can make the drum move heavily during rinse or spin. The machine may shake across the floor and bang against the side panels with heavier clothes. Keep the load balanced before starting the cycle.
There are noticeable gaps around the rear and lower sections of the machine. Those openings can become a passage for insects in some homes. Keeping the area clean and using a proper stand helps reduce the problem.
A squeaking noise can appear when the water intake shuts off. It is separate from the normal wash movement and can be quite noticeable in a quiet room. The sound points to the inlet or water valve area.
The LED panel shows the time left during the cycle. You can check when the wash should finish without opening the lid. The end-of-cycle indicator also alerts you when the clothes are ready.
The child lock prevents accidental control changes while the machine is running. That helps when children are around the washing area. You can keep the cycle going without worrying about random button presses.

Easy to use, worth it
The noise level is as they mentioned low, is really easy to use you just need to put the clothes in it and start it, auto detects how many clothes are in it and sets the water level, saves energy and plus it has memory so if something happens ex power shutdown in your house it won't start from the beginning will start from where it left. Value for money absolutely worth it. I would suggest this to anyone as their first washing machine as it is very easy.

Good Automatic Washing machine with reasonable price for small family.
Ordered this for my Mother in law who stays alone, was sceptical if she will be able to comfortably use it. But product was good enough for me to self install and explain to her how to use. Easy to use functions, reasonably low noise levels, value for money. Highly recommended for small family if they are looking for budget friendly product at reasonable price.

Quite and Decent
Using Godrej washing machine from past 20-25 years. Never had any major issue hence opted this time too for Godrej washing machine. Services of Amazon was not only fast but professional too. The model which I purchased this time is more than a month old now. Apart from looks the performance is also good. We use it almost every second day for our small family. Precisely writing this review after using it for more than 15-20 times. Noise level is not disturbing and is user-friendly. Will have to check though it is five star rated but getting bit inflated electric bill after its installation, is it because of this or something else. Over all paisa wasool .

Awesome delivery by Amazon. Good customer care by Godrej
I was so scared reading all these reviews. And I was praying that oh god, I don't want to get into a conflict of damaged delivery. It was a nice delivery from Amazon team. Godrej team called hours after and came and set it up and all was well My second washing machine from Godrej. First one was bought in the year of 2009, and is still in use, but the bottom stand corroded, but it's just me to be blamed. I didn't fix the pressure valve a second time when it got ruined. But it's still washing and drying automatically. This one a bit cumbersome, as functions are more. But it's silent, powerful and as of now, it's just weeks old and has been doing just fine. Let's see. I'm happy with Amazon and Godrej. Thank you.
Amazon

Worst product design by Godrej
The machine make a lot of noise and also there is lot of trouble if there is one clothes exceeding 6kgs limit even if it says 6.5kgs. the drum is poorly designed the rinse cycle will shake the entire machine and keeps banging side walls which is a very worrysome factor. the build quality is also very poor. There are lot gaps at the back and at the bottom which is a clear passage for insects. whenever the water intake stops there is a huge sqeeking noise, this should be taken care. The list goes on. My worst purchase from godrej ever. Not worth my money or my time. Unnecessary headaches.
