HP has rolled out a new family of DeskJet printers for home users in India, with six models spread across the DeskJet, DeskJet Ink Advantage and DeskJet Ultra Ink Advantage lines. The lineup targets everyday printing, scanning and copying tasks and is designed for simple plug and play setup. HP says the devices support dual‑band WiFi connectivity and feature self healing connectivity to automatically restore the connection if interrupted. Availability is through HP World stores and the HP online store in India, with color accents including Very Peri, Surf Blue, Machu Picchu, Warm Aroma and Pimento.

Prices and Availability

Pricing details show the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2986 and DeskJet Ink Advantage 2989 at Rs 6,999, while the DeskJet Ink Advantage 4388 is priced at Rs 7,999. These models are available through HP World stores and the HP online store.

HP says the DeskJet Ultra Ink Advantage 5135, DeskJet Ultra Ink Advantage 5185 and the DeskJet 2931 will be available in India soon. The six‑printer lineup targets students, families and small teams for everyday printing, scanning and copying tasks.

HP DeskJet All‑in‑One printers offer printing, scanning and copying with HP Thermal Inkjet technology and manual duplex printing with driver support. All models include a 60‑sheet input tray, a flatbed CIS scanner with up to 1,200 dpi optical resolution and support for scan formats such as JPEG, PDF, PNG and TIFF. Mobile printing is supported via the HP app, Apple AirPrint, Mopria and Android print services. Print speeds go up to 7.5 ppm (black) and 5.5 ppm (colour) on most models, and the monthly duty cycle is up to 1,000 pages. The lineup uses two cartridges (black and colour) and does not include fax support.

The DeskJet Ink Advantage 2986 and 2989 have a recommended monthly print volume of 50 to 100 pages. The DeskJet Ink Advantage 4388 is rated for 100 to 300 pages per month and offers slightly higher black print speeds of up to 8.5 ppm, along with an automatic document feeder for multipage handling. These models are designed for small teams of up to three users.

In addition, the DeskJet Ultra Ink Advantage 5135 and 5185 are positioned as higher‑yield models with the same core all‑in‑one functions and a 50 to 100 pages monthly volume. The DeskJet 2931 is the base DeskJet model in the new lineup, also rated for 50 to 100 pages per month and sharing core connectivity and scanning features with compatibility for Windows 10/11 and macOS variants.
