Carrier 1.5 Ton 5 Star Variable Speed Split AC Price Comparison & History in India
Hold Off: This AC Is Priced Too High
At ₹43,990 on Flipkart, this Carrier 1.5 Ton Mini Split Inverter AC isn't attractive today. It's still about 7% above the average, which is ₹41,135. Prices rose and fell sharply across seasons and stores. Across 459 days, the Carrier AC averaged ₹41,135. Its all-time low was ₹37,490, available on both Amazon and Flipkart on September 24. That gap is large enough to make waiting sensible.
One easy detail to miss: today's cheapest platform can change quickly. The Carrier 1.5 Ton Mini Split Inverter AC has appeared cheaper on both major stores. The highest listing also came from Flipkart. That pattern means timing and platform selection matter more than the WiFi feature. WiFi is useful, but it doesn't offset a price above normal levels. Check both stores before buying, especially outside peak summer demand. Unless cooling is urgent, keep this Carrier 1.5 Ton Mini Split Inverter AC on your watchlist.
- Night glow buttons work well in dark rooms

- Security lock stops unwanted remote changes
- Copper condenser resists rust in humid weather
- Installation charges can feel high
- Product warranty lasts only one year
- No built-in memory feature for settings
- Outdoor unit weighs 25.5 kilograms
Carrier 1.5 Ton 5 Star Variable Speed Split AC Features & Overview
The 1.5 Ton Carrier Mini Split AC is designed for mid-sized spaces such as bedrooms or living rooms. Carrier 1.5 Ton 5 Star Variable Speed Split AC cools medium rooms with specs and analysis. In practice, it starts cooling quickly and maintains a comfortable air flow thanks to a rated 580 CFM air flow and a gentle, low-noise operation. The unit uses an Inverter driven compressor, part of the Flexicool 6-in-1 convertible technology, so it modulates power as needed rather than cycling on and off, delivering smoother operation and energy savings. Carrier 1.5 Ton 5 Star Variable Speed Split AC cools 150 sq ft. You don’t think about it until it rains and you notice how quiet it is on a cool night. The WiFi Enabled features let you monitor and adjust settings from your phone or via voice control.
Usage
When switched on, the faster cooling phase arrives quickly and then settles into a steady, even temperature. The two-way air direction control helps you aim airflow where you want it, without fiddling with settings mid-chore.
Capacity
With a capacity of 1.5 Tons, it suits mid sized rooms (111 sq ft to 150 sq ft). The unit delivers a best-in-class cooling capability up to about 5760 Watts, and an energy rating of 5 Star with an ISEER around 5.13.
Controls
Control is flexible via Remote Control, App Control, and Voice Control, plus a Smart-WiFi display that shows settings and energy use for quick checks.
Durability
The condenser coil is 100% Copper with an anti-corrosion Blue Coating, designed for longevity and easier maintenance. The system includes features like Auto Clean to reduce buildup between servicing.
Safety
Stabilizer Free operation within a wide voltage range (135 to 280 V) helps protect the unit from common power fluctuations, and a refrigerant leakage detector adds a layer of safety in case of any issue.
Installation/Warranty
As a split system, it includes indoor and outdoor units plus connecting copper pipe, remote, user manual, and warranty card. Manufacturer coverage is listed as 1 year on product, 5 years on PCB, and 10 years on compressor.
Carrier 1.5 Ton 5 Star Variable Speed Split AC Technical Specifications
Carrier 1.5 Ton 5 Star Variable Speed Split AC FAQs
ESTER Edge FXi cools a 120 square foot room in around 15 minutes, based on the available experience. Its 5-ton cooling output and 580 CFM airflow suit rooms up to 150 square feet. Fast Cooling mode helps bring down the room temperature sooner.
The rated annual power consumption is around 754 units, with an ISEER rating of 5.13. Its variable-speed compressor lowers or raises output instead of running at full power all the time. The 40% to 120% convertible modes also help match cooling to the room load.
The indoor unit runs at around 44 dB, so it stays fairly quiet in a bedroom. Sleep mode keeps the cooling gentler through the night without a loud compressor feel. The hidden LED display also avoids bright light while sleeping.
Flexicool lets you run the AC at 40%, 50-60%, 75-80%, 100%, 110%, or 120% capacity. A smaller room doesn't need the compressor working at full output for every minute. That makes the lower settings useful when the weather is less intense or the room already feels cool.
WiFi control works through the app, and voice control handles basic commands without the remote. You can switch the AC on, change cooling settings, and manage it from another room. The remote is still useful when the phone or WiFi isn't nearby.
The dual filtration setup includes a PM2.5 filter, dust filter, HD filter, and pre-filter. It catches dust and some fine particles as air passes through the indoor unit. This helps with everyday room air, while the AC's main job remains cooling.
The outdoor unit has a copper condenser with Blue Hydro anti-corrosion coating. It is rated to work in ambient temperatures up to 52 degrees Celsius. The coating gives the condenser better protection through humid and rainy weather.
Installation charges can feel high, especially when extra work or material is needed. The box includes a three-metre interconnecting copper pipe and an installation kit. Any longer piping, drilling, or additional fitting can raise the final installation bill.
Carrier gives you WiFi, voice control, and six convertible cooling levels in this model. Comparable LG inverter ACs are also strong on everyday cooling, but this one puts more control options on the table. Pick Carrier if app control and flexible power settings matter more than brand familiarity.
Daikin is known for simple, focused cooling, while this Carrier adds WiFi, voice commands, and multiple capacity settings. The 5 Star rating and 44 dB operation keep it suitable for regular bedroom use. Carrier is the better fit when smart controls matter as much as cooling.
Carrier has built-in WiFi, app control, voice control, and smart diagnosis. That gives it a stronger smart-control setup than basic Voltas models without connected features. The Flexicool modes also let you reduce or increase cooling output from the same AC.
It can cool a 120 square foot room in about 15 minutes when Fast Cooling is used. The 1.5-ton capacity gives it enough output for that room size. The room should feel noticeably cooler before the compressor starts reducing its speed.
The two-way swing moves air across the room instead of keeping it fixed in one direction. Its 580 CFM airflow works well for rooms around 111 to 150 square feet. For a long room, placing the indoor unit centrally gives better air coverage.
This AC is designed for stabilizer-free operation across a wide voltage range. It also includes shock protection, leakage detection, and an Intelligent CRF Alert. That keeps a separate stabilizer out of the regular setup.
Auto Clean dries the indoor coil after cooling, which helps reduce moisture and dust buildup. It also keeps the inside fresher between service visits. You still need to clean the removable filters when they collect visible dust.
No, this is a cooling-only AC and doesn't include heating support. Its available modes cover cooling, fan, dry, dehumidification, auto, and sleep use. It works well for summer cooling but won't replace a room heater in winter.
Real & Verified Reviews of Carrier 1.5 Ton 5 Star Variable Speed Split AC
Trusted Carrier Again & Totally Worth It
Actually, I was a bit confused initially about whether to buy a 3-star or 5-star AC. I ordered this 5-star model purely based on my trust in Carrier, as I have been using a Carrier AC since 2020 and its overall performance has been excellent, even without much maintenance. That’s the main reason I chose to buy another Carrier AC, and I also got a good discount on this 5-star model. This AC provides instant cooling, and the airflow is excellent. It cools the room within 3–5 minutes. Just go for it — the installation process was also very quick. I haven’t seen such great service from Carrier before. Don’t think twice before buying a Carrier AC.
Overall a great Purchase
Very happy with this Carrier 1.5 Ton 5-Star Wi-Fi AC. Cooling is fast and powerful — my room gets comfortable within minutes even during peak afternoon heat. It runs quietly and the inverter technology helps keep electricity consumption under control. The Wi-Fi feature is super convenient; I can switch it on before entering the room and adjust settings directly from my phone. Installation experience was smooth. The technicians arrived on time, explained the process properly, and completed the setup neatly without any mess. They also tested everything before leaving. Overall, great product with solid performance and hassle-free installation.
Useful product for Compact house
This AC cools my 120 sq ft room in just 15 minutes. The throw from the blower fans is powerful, and remote features are well-planned also impressed with the 5-star energy rating, which helps me save up to 25% on electricity bills compared to non-inverter ACs. AC Wi-Fi connectivity and Carrier app allow me to control the AC from anywhere, making it super convenient. This AC works wonders in humid conditions, providing great relief during the monsoon season. The outdoor unit is relatively quiet, and I appreciate the low noise level, although the indoor unit fan can be a bit loud. The different modes allow me to adjust the AC's performance according to my needs and the season.I'd definitely recommend this AC to anyone looking for efficient cooling and smart features.
⭐ Defective AC on Day 1 + 3 Days of Harassment by Amazon & Carrier – Worst Experience
I purchased the Carrier 1.5 Ton 3 Star Flexicool Inverter Split AC from Amazon, expecting a reliable product and service from Carrier Global. Instead, this turned into one of the worst purchase experiences I’ve ever had. What Happened Day 1 – Delivery The AC was delivered normally. Day 2 – Installation A Carrier technician came for installation. The AC was installed on the wall. When the technician tried to start the AC for demo, we discovered that the blower inside the indoor unit was broken and the AC was completely non-functional. So basically, a defective AC was installed in my house. I refused to accept the unit and asked for replacement. The technician assured me the AC would be replaced, but said I must pay installation charges first to close the request so the replacement request could be generated. Trusting their statement, I paid the installation charges. What Happened After Payment This is where the real problem started. • No replacement request was generated • Carrier refused replacement and said they would only replace the part • Amazon also initially refused replacement Then Amazon suggested returning the product instead of replacing it. Before placing the return request, I confirmed three things with Amazon: 1. AC will be uninstalled 2. Installation charges will be refunded 3. Product amount will be refunded Amazon support agreed to everything, so I created the return request. The Next Problem After placing the return request: • No one came for uninstallation • Carrier said they will not uninstall unless I pay again • Amazon suddenly changed their statement and refused to refund installation charges So now I was stuck with: • A defective AC installed on my wall • No replacement • No return • No refund Hours of Calls and No Solution For 3 days I spent hours on calls with Amazon and Carrier support. At one point I even connected both Amazon and Carrier representatives on the same call, and instead of solving the problem they started arguing with each other about policies. Meanwhile the customer (me) was left completely helpless. Only After Consumer Complaint Threat Finally I informed them that I would file a consumer complaint. Suddenly things started moving. The next day Carrier finally sent a technician to uninstall the AC and the refund process started. So basically the issue only moved forward after threatening legal action. Final Verdict This experience shows serious problems in after-sales service and coordination between Amazon and Carrier. Customers should not have to: • Receive defective products • Pay installation charges for faulty units • Spend hours on calls • Threaten consumer court complaints just to resolve a simple issue. ⚠️ If you are buying this AC online, be very careful. If something goes wrong, the support process can become extremely frustrating. Very disappointed with both Amazon and Carrier service.
Installation charges are on the higher side, but the process is smooth”
I would like to share my feedback on the Carrier 1.5 Ton 5-Star AC. The cooling performance is very good and I am satisfied with it. However, considering the installation charges, I feel that the installation could have been done more securely and professionally. A stronger and more stable installation would have been better. Apart from this, everything else is fine.

very good prod.
Good Purchase. Decent quality. No surprises.
Was delivered as promised - On time. Nothing was damaged or missing in my case. This is my second purchase of an air conditioner from Amazon. The first one had it's flap broken and therefore returned. Bought the 5star one with exchange for ~34k. Exchange price was reduced upon inspection by 1500 rs. Installation was within 24 hours. They called up themselves. Installation was very neat and clean. Extra pipe, rubber footing were additionally required that didn't come with the product and hence I paid extra for it. Total cost of installation with additional material - approx 4k. Ac works silently. All features work fine. Haven't tested the wifi nor will I. The cooling is good so far even when them temps are high. The quality is decent and a I feel it's a step down from 2018 standards of carrier midea. Cost cutting is obvious in 2025 but then all brands are doing some level of cost cutting. Great experience so far. Will update post a few months.
