Sony K-55S25BM2 55 Inch LED TV Price Comparison & History in India
Buy Now or Wait for This Sony TV?
At ₹63,990 on Amazon, this Sony K-55S25BM2 is sitting above its recent sweet spot. It's been tracked for 419 days, with prices shifting between discounts and long expensive stretches. The lowest recorded price was ₹55,990 on Amazon. Today's tag isn't a standout deal, even though it's lower than the peak. The average price works out to about ₹61,434, putting today's price roughly 4% higher. That keeps the purchase reasonable, but not especially exciting. Sony's pricing has been uneven lately. It fell to the lowest level twice, then climbed steadily through summer.
The latest upward move matters more than it first appears. A casual shopper might assume Sony's brand premium means stable pricing. This model's history says otherwise. Amazon has been the cheapest recorded seller throughout the available history. There isn't another platform price here to confirm a better alternative. The Sony K-55S25BM2 remains a sensible buy for an immediate need. Google TV doesn't change its uneven discount pattern.
- Four HDMI ports cover multiple devices
- AirPlay works with Apple devices
- Ethernet supports wired internet connection
- Voice search cuts down remote typing
- Natural colours suit movies and sports
- Startup feels laggy for the first few minutes
- Blacks look average in dark scenes
Sony K-55S25BM2 55 Inch LED TV Features & Overview
Usage
For daily viewing this Sony TV emphasizes fast streaming and crisp 4K visuals. With Google TV built in, you can quickly access apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. The interface feels responsive, and the remote offers a solid tactile click when you press volume or power. Sony K-55S25BM2 55 Inch LED TV AI evaluated for strong picture and features. Content loads smoothly, and the menu navigation stays calm even after long sessions.
Capacity
The panel measures 55 Inches and delivers 4K resolution with HDR10 support. You have ample ports to connect a set top box, Blu ray player, or gaming console via 4 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports. It supports both Wall Mount and Table Mount configurations thanks to the 300 x 300 mm VESA pattern. Onboard Dolby Atmos helps the sound feel more present, complementing the visuals nicely.
Controls
Control is through the Remote with added voice control support; it works over IR and Bluetooth for flexible placement. The Google TV experience guides you through apps and casting, while HDMI features align with your home setup through ALLM/eARC compatibility for smoother gaming and sound passthrough.

Sony K-55S25BM2 55 Inch LED TV FAQs
The 20W speakers sound clear for regular TV, films, and sports. Dolby Atmos gives audio a wider feel, but it doesn't create deep bass on its own. A soundbar through eARC is the better setup for fuller movie sound.
Power draw is rated at 150W while running and 0.5W in standby. Several hours of daily viewing will use noticeably more power than leaving the TV in standby. The standby figure stays very low when the set is switched off.
The 178-degree viewing angle keeps the picture usable from side seats. That works well in a wider living room where everyone isn't sitting straight in front. The flat panel also keeps the image shape familiar for regular TV and films.
At 1227mm wide and 13.2kg, it needs a fairly wide and sturdy TV unit. The flat panel keeps the shape simple against a wall or cabinet. Check the unit width before placing it, especially in a bedroom setup.
For movies, Bravia 2 is the better fit if you want Google TV, 4K upscaling, and a Cinema picture mode. Samsung Crystal TVs run Samsung's own smart interface, so the app layout feels different from this setup. Sony also includes Filmmaker Mode, HDR10, and Dolby Atmos for movie nights.
Google TV is the main difference here, with Google Cast, Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube ready to use. Bravia 2 is the simpler pick if you already use Android phones and Google services, while LG UR TVs use webOS. The Sony setup feels more familiar for casting from Android devices.
The 20W speakers support Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos for regular viewing. TCL 55-inch TVs come with different audio setups across series, while Sony gives you eARC for a separate sound system. For everyday channels and films, the built-in sound is good enough.
For mixed streaming, Bravia 2 suits homes that want Google TV and Chromecast built in. OnePlus TVs also handle common streaming apps, but Sony gives you more picture modes, including Cinema, Game, and Filmmaker. The Sony is the more flexible choice for films, regular TV, and console use.
Upscaling is decent on SD and HD channels, so regular cable content stays watchable on this large screen. Native 4K films look sharper and cleaner, with better fine detail. Cinema mode is the nicer starting point for films, while Standard works better for everyday television.
Game mode and ALLM help keep console play responsive. The 60Hz panel suits regular gaming, but it doesn't target 120Hz gameplay. Sports and story-based games fit this setup better than competitive high-refresh play.
The TV supports both wall and table placement, with the required mount pieces included in the box. Setup is straightforward, and the basic controls are easy to understand after installation. That suits a first-time smart TV setup without much fuss.
Google TV can feel laggy for the first few minutes after powering on. It settles down and feels normal once the startup loading finishes. After that, the menus and apps are easy to move through.
Voice search cuts down typing when you're looking for films, actors, or apps. The remote connects to Google TV features, while Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video are already included. It uses two AAA batteries, so replacing them is simple.

Sony BRAVIA 2M2 65-inch Review – Amazing Picture Quality, But Sound Could Be Better
I bought the Sony BRAVIA 2M2 Series 65-inch TV after reading reviews of almost every TV and finally chose this one because I got it at a good price with an offer. I upgraded from a Kodak 55-inch TV to this one. Buying a Sony TV had always been a dream of mine, and after purchasing it, I have to say that the picture quality is excellent. We couldn’t find any negatives with the picture quality. However, when it comes to the sound, the volume is a little too low. Recently, I also bought a Samsung 55-inch Mini-LED TV for my sister, which cost almost half the price of this Sony TV. Surprisingly, that Samsung TV has better sound quality and volume than this Sony. Apart from the sound, I’m very happy with the Sony TV, especially with its picture quality.
Excellent Picture Quality
Excellent picture quality with vibrant colors, deep contrast, and impressive clarity. The 55-inch screen is perfect for movies, sports, and everyday viewing. The sound quality is good, and the smart features are smooth and easy to use. Overall, a great TV with a premium viewing experience and excellent value for money.
